EDWARDSTONE – (1.40 Warwick, 2pts win – 10/11)
EDWARDSTONE has been rather unlucky in two chase runs to date when failing to complete in both starts, but the first was a silly mistake, and the latest was through no fault of his own.
He had the measure of For Pleasure before he fell in front of him on that occasion, and he looks to be his main danger again.
He was travelling strongly here last time and jumped well on the whole, and it would be folly to think he doesn’t have more to come over fences given his size and stamp. He is the highest rated in this field and should take a good deal of beating.

WINGED ISLE – (2.35 Ffos Las, 1pt win – 11/2)
WINGED ISLE was below par on return 32 days ago, but he ran as though he desperately needed that run, and it might be worth giving him another chance back here at Ffos Las, where he was a good winner last term despite playing up beforehand.
He still sits on a very feasible handicap mark of 123, and this is only his third run for his new yard, and this step up in trip has looked on the cards for some time.
This is now a 0-125 compared to his 0-140 debut appearance, and I am quite keen to take on Faire Part Sivola, who recorded a very slow time when left well clear to get back to winning ways last time. Nothing else looks particularly well-treated in here, so he must go close.
