It may pay to take a chance on handicap debutant YOUR DARLING who offered plenty of promise at Newbury when destroying a good field on racecourse debut in a useful looking bumper and has shaped with promise on his last two hurdle starts. He looked as though he would benefit from a wind operation at Sandown after he travelled strongly before dropping out like a light back in November behind the useful Adrimel and the form of that race looks strong in the context of this one.
There is a good chance the wind op, better ground and the switch to handicap company off this lowly mark of 116 could see him put in an improved performance. The booking of David Bass for this yard is always an eye-catcher and this horse was once described as "one of the best we have had" so there is surely more to come in a field which boasts mainly exposed sorts.

SWORD BEACH gave the firm impression that there is more to come this season when a close third at Leicester behind the promising Mars Landing on the back of a 163-day break and that took his form figures to 3343 over 1m on good ground.
All of those runs came in stronger races than today’s behind progressive three-year-olds but today he takes on a mainly exposed bunch of rivals so this looks like a good opportunity to get his head back in front off of a career-low handicap mark. Today’s favourite Chichester looked useful at one point last term but his high knee action when last seen on turf suggested that he wants softer ground so has to be taken on.

ART APPROVAL has been progressive in his last two starts and his previous form at Cheltenham in two runs earlier in the season suggest he is more than capable off of this 3lb higher handicap mark of 121. A 3lbs rise for his hard-fought win here earlier in the month looks extremely lenient given plenty went wrong for him on that occasion and he was still well on top at the finish.
That race was run at a stop-start gallop which didn’t suit so the performance deserves an upgrade and today’s extra 2 1/2f back here at Exeter will certainly play to his strengths. Most of today’s rivals are more than capable on their day but they arrive here with something to prove at present and this looks like a good bit of placing by Fergal O’Brien to rack up the hat-trick.
