The tongue-tie is applied for the first time, which suggests there could have been a breathing issue, and that would concur with the visual impression of his last two runs. If, and it is an if, the tongue-tie works, he is well-handicapped on his exploits over hurdles and finds himself with a good opportunity to score. Felton Bellevue is the one to beat on form, but this one just might be worth a very small bet.

I’m rather surprised by the price of BULLDOZE, who took a step forward on his second start for this yard when second here to a subsequent winner in January. He was held up off a steady pace but jumped well and finished out his race strongly, and although zero for 12 in his career, he has had very few opportunities on good ground and only four chase starts.
The tongue-tie and blinker combination return today, which saw him run with extreme credit in a useful beginners chase at Limerick on chase debut for Henry De Bromhead. He finds himself in a winnable race today. The favourite makes his chase debut and wasn’t the cleanest jumpers over hurdles, so looks worth taking on, and Caddyhill, who had Away At Dawn well held here in September, looks weighted to his best.
