His Doncaster effort was given a small boost when the runner-up filled the same spot at Cheltenham behind Imperial Alcazar next time, and he has barely come off the bridle yet. He can continue his improvement by landing this contest before looking at Festival targets.

The ground has come in his favour, and everything looks primed for a big run.
