BetMGM have a new welcome offer of Bet £10, Get £30 in free horse racing bets and it’s a superb offer for those punters looking to try and pick some winners at Wetherby and Down Royal over the coming days.
The Grade 2 Charlie Hall Chase is the feature at Wetherby, while at Down Royal the Ladbrokes Champion Chase is the feature race and both could be events that throw up some notable clues to the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March. Here at GG we look to try and make the most of BetMGM’s new customer offer and explain how you can best use the promotion at those two National Hunt fixtures.
Initial £10 Bet To Trigger £30 In Free Horse Racing Bets
There’s some quality Grade 3 action at Down Royal on Friday and one of the most fascinating races on the card is the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Feathard Lady Mares Novice Hurdle at 1:30pm. In order to trigger the £30 in free bets with BetMGM you must place a qualifying bet of £10 on a selection with odds of Evens or bigger. Colm Murphy’s SAVANTE was an impressive six-and-a-half length winner on hurdling debut at Tramore and she can duly follow that up with victory here. This is much tougher, but she shaped like she could be more than capable of landing this prize and she can get the better of market rival Speculatrix.

Fri 18 Oct 2024How To Use Your £30 In Free Horse Racing Bets
Once the qualifying bet has settled then the £30 in free horse racing bets is yours to use, so here’s how to make the most out of the free bets at at both Wetherby and Down Royal.
£10 Horse Racing Bet
Firstly, you are handed a £10 horse racing bet that can be placed in the win market, so look towards the fascinating Listed Weatherbys nhstallions.co.uk Wensleydale Juvenile Hurdle at 2:25pm at Wetherby. A race that could throw up an early candidate for the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, this race looks full of exciting three-year-olds. Adrian Keatley’s MODEL APPROACH has relished the switch to the hurdling sphere and heads to Yorkshire with two wins on the bounce. A two-and-a-quarter length winner at Kempton Park last time out, he will need to improve against some classier rivals here, but shaped like there’s a lot more to come and he’s the one to side with.
£10 Horse Racing Bet
The bet365 West Yorkshire Hurdle is a trappy betting heat for punters heading to Wetherby at 2:22pm, but the one to bet with the second free £10 bet is Dan Skelton’s KATEIRA. Last seen bounding to victory in a competitive contest at Aintree back in April, the seven-year-old mare is looking to step out of the handicap sphere and claim Graded glory and this event could be the perfect race for her. The likes of Dashel Drasher and Beacon Edge are decent performers, but may have seen better days and the emerging stayer in Kateira can down that duo here.
£5 Horse Racing Multiple
We can now move on to the two £5 horse racing multiples and it’s hard to look away from BRAVEMANSGAME in the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby. A winner back in 2022, the Paul Nicholls-trained raider failed to fire last season, but he could well get the better of Grey Dawning in a thrilling renewal and he’s the first part of a Wetherby double. Nicky Henderson’s LUCCIA is a really smart hurdler and while she may not get the plaudits of her stablemate Constitution Hill she can show her class by defying short odds in the Listed Mares’ Hurdle at 1:50pm at Wetherby to complete the double.
£5 Horse Racing Multiple
Moving on to Down Royal’s Saturday card and Gordon Elliott’s GERRI COLOMBE should prove too good for his rivals again in the Ladbrokes Champion Chase. With Cheltenham Gold Cup aspirations for March, the Cullentra House inmate should be too classy for his rivals here. Runner-up in the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival in March, ROMEO COOLIO is set to make his hurdling bow in the 1:00pm at Down Royal and if he can show anything like he showed in bumpers then he can land an easy double with the final free £5 multiple bet.
