Huntingdon Racing Tips (Sunday 1 March 2026)
The class 3 ‘Oxo’ Handicap Chase headlines Huntingdon’s week-ending card. Andrew has two tips at the track, including one in the feature.
2.45 Huntingdon – Lounge Lizard (1pt win – 12/1 bet365)
Lounge Lizard tends to come good at about this time of year and his record in the February to May period reads 2321131P10 (4-10) for a profit of £6.25 to a £1 level stake at SP (+£8.46 at Betfair SP after 2% commission). Three of those four wins came a few days either side of March 1st (28th February 2023, 3rd March 2024 and 2nd March last year) and he looks worth chancing despite pulling up at Hexham in November on his final start for Henry Daly. He’s had a wind operation ahead of his debut for Sara Humphrey and his record at Huntingdon reads 211 (2-3).
3.15 Huntingdon – Felton Bellevue (1pt win – 15/8 Sky Bet, Paddy Power)
Backing Felton Bellevue blindly in his 35 handicap-chase starts would have returned a profit of £2.57 at Betfair SP (after 2% commission) but we can improve things by only siding with him in the February to March period, during which he has recorded form figures of 1242311341 (4-10) for a profit of £15.00 at SP and £20.29 at BSP. Ben Case’s veteran returned to winning ways in a 3m1.5f handicap chase at Plumpton last month, coming home almost three lengths clear at odds of 6-1. I’d prefer to be backing him on another sharp left-handed track such at Lingfield or Plumpton, but he ran well on his sole visit here, finishing second outside of his peak period, and having clocked useful speed figure for his latest effort he looks worth a bet on a quiet day.
