4.25 Leopardstown – JANUARY (1pt win – 2/1 BOYLE Sports)

Aidan O’Brien’s JANUARY has only gained victory twice in her ten-race career, but the classy daughter of Kingman has only ever been out of the first three once in that time, so she has certainly shown she’s a top level performer. Second in the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket two starts ago behind Cinderella’s Dream, she then followed that up with another runner-up spot in the Prix Rothschild at Deauville. Narrowly beaten by Fallen Angel that day, she will lock horns with that rival again here and the pair could fight it out again for victory. Fallen Angel has certainly lacked the consistency of her market rival January and it could be that she fails to follow up that run here, so January is certainly the more solid option.

4.55 Leopardstown – SKUKUZA (1pt win – 3/1 BOYLE Sports)

Ed Dunlop’s SKUKUZA has a fine record in Ireland having won on his two previous visits to the Emerald Isle and the four-year-old will bid to make it three from three on Saturday and land victory in the Group 2 Solonaway Stakes at 4.55pm. Narrowly beaten in the Strensall Stakes at York on his last outing, he certainly improved on a below-par performance at Goodwood, so if he can replicate that run here then he certainly looks the one to beat in a competitive contest.

16:55 Tonybet Solonaway Stakes (Group 2)

5.30 Leopardstown – ZAHRANN (1pt win – 6/1 BOYLE Sports)

Aidan O’Brien’s Delacroix is a warm order for this event and if he can replicate his Coral-Eclipse Stakes win then has to be a huge player, but he was a bit disappointing in the Juddmonte International Stakes at York and in the Derby earlier in the season, so he could be worth taking on. Johnny Murtagh’s ZAHRANN could be the one to down the Ballydoyle hotpot and he heads into this event on the back of a fine win in the Royal Whip Stakes at the Curragh. He now takes his first shot at Group 1 company, but the three-year-old is certainly on a rapid incline and it would be no shock to see him run another huge race here.

17:30 Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes (Group 1)
