2.40 Curragh – BEAUTIFY (1pt win – 5/1 BOYLE Sports)

Seven fillies head to the 7f start for the fascinating Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at 2.40pm and it will see a real smash-up between some top notch Aidan O’Brien juveniles and Karl Burke’s Venetian Sun, who continues to improve. Having won the Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes, Venetian Sun then won a red-hot Prix Morny, so is entitled to take her chance here. However, she faces some exciting two-year-olds from Ballydoyle and while most eyes are on Debutante Stakes winner Composing, it’s BEAUTIFY that makes most appeal. She stormed to an emphatic two-length victory over the very smart Ger Lyons filly Lady Iman in a Curragh Group 2 in June and if she can build on that effort then she could well improve again and land this prize at decent odds.

3.15 Curragh – WHISTLEJACKET (1pt win – 10/1 generally)

Fresh from Nunthorpe Stakes glory, Asfoora will be a warm order for the Group 1 Flying Five Stakes at the Curragh at 3.15pm, but she has struggled for any sort of consistency this term and could be worth taking on having had a relatively quick turnaround. One that makes appeal at a bigger price is WHISTLEJACKET for Aidan O’Brien, who has struggled of late, but has a decent record at the Curragh. Well beaten over six furlongs in the July Cup at Newmarket, the Ballydoyle charge will relish a drop back to five furlongs here and having finished second in the Phoenix Stakes at the track as a juvenile and won a Listed event here then he has some smart course form. He will need to produce his best to stand a chance, but he’s shown he is talented on his day, so has to be respected.

4.25 Curragh – AMILOC (1pt win – 7/2 BOYLE Sports)

Ralph Beckett’s AMILOC will face his toughest test to date when he heads to the Curragh for the Group 1 Irish St. Leger at 4.25pm. Five wins from five have rocketed up the three-year-old up the rankings and he will now take a step up in trip to try and maintain his 100% record. He will face some proven top notch stayers in the shape of Illinois and Al Riffa, but Amiloc was sensational when bounding to victory in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot over 1m 4f. He was well on top at the finish that day, where he beat Zahrann comfortably, and with the step up in trip unlikely to cause an issue he could well continue his winning ways. The sole three-year-old in the field, he will receive weight from all his rivals and that can prove crucial in the closing stages, as he faces stiff opposition from that aforementioned fancied pair.
