The ITV7 has been live throughout Glorious Goodwood week, with a £50,000 jackpot on offer again on Thursday. To guide you through each race, here are GG’s day three predictions for the flagship contest.

Race 1 – 1.20pm Goodwood – Coral Kincsem Handicap
Best Secret is an unusual handicap participant for France and could potentially blow these away off top-weight, but with many unknowns further down the ratings, it’s tricky siding with him confidently. Given how well he has run lately, PAROLE D’ORO looks due a victory and the step up to 1m2f could well help him get over the line. He was unlucky at Royal Ascot when getting going too late and was head-bobbed out of a victory last time out at Newmarket, but today could be the day.
Race 2 – 1.55pm Goodwood – Markel Richmond Stakes (Group 2)
Azizam was finishing fast behind Havana Hurricane at Royal Ascot and both have chances once again over 6f, but it is another Ascot formline taken as the strongest with COPPULL given the verdict. He made his own running down the near side in the Coventry Stakes, doing very well to stay on all the way to the line for third. He is drawn close to the stands side, which looks likely to prove a benefit if he is to front run again.

Race 3 – 2.18pm Nottingham – PricedUp EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes
Little Jaybee was a surprising winner at Wolverhampton, but there was no fluke about that victory and he would be the easy choice of those to have run. Nevertheless, it was not a strong race he won and this will be his first start on turf, so preference is for the unraced VISHAKA for David Simcock, whose price rose in sales as a yearling and a two-year-old compared to as a foal, suggesting he has shown enough ability in his work to be competitive on debut.
Race 4 – 2.30pm Goodwood – HKJC World Pool Gordon Stakes (Group 3)
Merchant holds the most progressive profile and could take high rank given he had a King George entry until fairly late in the day, but enough of his rivals have established Group race form to take him on with. Galveston and WImbledon Hawkeye are two in particular, but RAHIEBB was a close third in the Queen’s Vase when upped to 1m6f and that race is working out very well. He only faded late on that day too and was conceding Merchant 8lb when they met at York for a deficit of only 2½ lengths. That could be overturned here.

Race 5 – 2.53pm Nottingham – PricedUp Daily Sports Boosts Handicap
The only handicap contested so far by RYE looked a useful contest for its level and that was a class 5 compared to this class 6. Although a little underwhelming at Chester last time out, Tony Carroll’s filly can get off the mark here in a substandard event.
Race 6 – 3.05pm Goodwood – Qatar Nassau Stakes (Group 1)
Bar Running Lion, who looks up against it, all of the remaining quartet have significant upside. Whirl, See The Fire and Cercene all have excellent Group 1 form of late, but so does BEDTIME STORY, who has gradually been building back to form this season and looks a livewire. She was second in the French Oaks last time out when not getting the run of the race and may feel more at home in this smaller field and over this distance.
Race 7 – 3.45pm Goodwood – Buccellati Handicap
This is a very difficult race with which to finish the ITV7, but the vote goes to RUBY’S PROFIT, who has been running really well this season. She is up 19lb in the handicap from the start of the season having won twice and has most recently finished a close third in the Epsom Dash and seventh at Royal Ascot in the Palace Of Holyroodhouse Stakes. Both of those were still very respectable efforts from this tearaway front-runner and she is down 1lb for them, so should go very well again.
