Day three of Glorious Goodwood sees another £50,000 jackpot up for grabs courtesy of the ITV7 competition. We have given our selections for the seven races below to guide you towards the prize.

Race 1 – 1.50pm Goodwood – Coral Kincsem Handicap
Having had his chances at Royal Ascot curtailed by bad luck in running, PALACE GREEN is due more fortune this time around. He may not have won that race, but he would certainly have finished significantly closer in what could prove a very hot race. The form is yet to be tested too thoroughly, though the well-held ninth has come out and won twice since at Chester, while his third at York when overly stretched by 1m4f has also worked out well. With conditions and luck now set to align, he should go close.
Race 2 – 2.10pm Galway – Guinness Beginners Chase
There is no obvious standout in this beginners’ chase, with Willie Mullins’ declaration Pink In The Park far from a standout on form. The class horse over hurdles was FRANCISCAN ROCK and it is worth siding with Mouse Morris’ seven-year-old to improve over fences after an aborted chase debut season last term. He finished fifth in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival and was sixth in Grade 1 company at Punchestown. He is comfortable enough on the ground and this is a winnable heat.
Race 3 – 2.25pm Goodwood – Markel Richmond Stakes (Group 2)
There could be quite a lot of challengers for the lead, but preference is for THE STRIKIN VIKING, who narrowly failed to make all in the Group 2 Railway Stakes at the Curragh in June. He has since been purchased by a powerful operation, and while that has also seen him change yards, bringin just a shade of doubt, it is unlikely to make too much difference to him at this stage of his career.
Race 4 – 2.35pm Nottingham – Follow Us On X @betrhino Handicap
This is a very weak race, with plenty either desperately out of form or barely progressive in this class of race beforehand. SOCIALISE has shown some ability over 6f this term, and if ignoring his runs over 7f, which is not done easily, he could prove the best-treated for the Tinkler team.
Race 5 – 3.00pm Goodwood – John Pearce Racing Gordon Stakes (Group 3)
Aidan O’Brien has had a few short-priced disappointments in this in recent seasons, and while Jan Breughel possesses immense potential after doing well to get up on his Graded debut last time, that was not the strongest race. This extra two furlongs will help one of the last racing sons of Galileo, but he will need to improve.
Sayedaty Sadaty was fifth in the Derby and has changed yards. His previous trainer has a good record of sending out outside challengers at Epsom though and a couple of those have underwhelmed here, while Bellum Justum wants shorter and Align The Stars’ handicap form also leaves him something to find. That leaves MEYDAAN, a slightly fortuitous Listed winner here in May, but who may be sorted by the extra furlong here, and his fourth in the Queen’s Vase is solid form, with his stamina only giving way late on.
Race 6 – 3.20pm Galway – Rockshore Refreshingly Irish Handicap
It has taken a strangely long time to step him up to these sorts of distances, but TOUGH TALK promised so much earlier in his career and has regularly finished off well over 7f or shorter in the last couple of seasons. Now that he finally gets his chance over further, this race coming over 1m½f, he may at last overcome a mark of 85, even though there are hints in his pedigree that he should even go up to 1m2f and beyond.
Race 7 – 3.35pm Goodwood – Qatar Nassau Stakes
Sparkling Plenty is preferred of the three-year-olds, but the Classic generation will have to be very useful for any to defeat EMILY UPJOHN now that she is back in form. It is not always easy predicting her, but it would be a surprise if she were not ready for this having been supplemented by the Gosdens earlier in the week. Her second in the Pretty Polly Stakes was advertised positively when the winner, Bluestocking, was a game runner-up in the King George, and a quicker surface broadly suits the selection.
