Kempton & Lingfield Racing Tips - Andrew Mount's Best Bets for Wednesday 21 January

Kempton & Lingfield Racing Tips - Andrew Mount's Best Bets for Wednesday 21 January

Just three meetings take place on a relatively quiet Wednesday of racing, with one over jumps and two on the all-weather in the UK.

Andrew Mount sticks to the action on the artificial surfaces for his best bets on the day, with one tip running at Lingfield and two at Kempton.

Lingfield Racing Tips (Wednesday 21 January 2026)

Lingfield host eight races on Wednesday afternoon, but Andrew Mount will be keeping a keen eye on action from the start, with his tip running in the opening race at the Surrey track.

12.35 Lingfield – Vizzavona Lady (1pt win – 3/1 bet365)

Rising Force needs a strong gallop to chase and it’s no coincidence that his best efforts have come in big fields. Darryll Holland’s five-year-old was sent off as the 10-11 favourite for a six-runner amateur riders’ handicap at Kempton last week where it was no surprise to see him finish third after they went a crawl in the early stages. Another steadily-run race could be n the offing in today’s eight-runner line-up and I want to take him on again. Vizzavona Lady impressed me when scoring in that Kempton contest last week as she quickened from the rear off the steady gallop, earning a sectional upgrade in the process. Stall 7 should ensure that she steers clear of the usually ‘dead’ inside rail and she can confirm the form.

Kempton Racing Tips (Wednesday 21 January 2026)

Kempton’s eight-race card is an evening one on Wednesday, and Andrew has two best bets throughout the card.

5.30 Kempton – Waistcoat (1pt win – 9/4 bet365)

Waistcoat impressed me with his finishing effort over 7f here last month, scything through the field when a neck second of 12 to Gunlock and leaving the impression that he would have won had he not ducked up the inside to challenge. He went one better when dropped to tonight’s 6f trip at Chelmsford next time, coring at 11-2 (advised in this column at 8-1) and the 6lb rise is unlikely to stop him in what should be a truly run race given the big field.

7.00 Kempton – Panelli (1pt win – 7/1 bet365)

Panelli signed off for George Boughey with a 1m Polytrack win at Lingfield in late September and gets those conditions for the first time since joining Stuart Williams after three eye-catching runs over 5f, 6f and 7f. He’s generously been dropped 2lb to a mark of 71 for his Southwell fourth on January 4th and he’s worth a bet, despite the lack of obvious pacesetters to tee it up for him.
