17:00 – Unibet 3 Uniboosts A Day Handicap

Race Details: 1m | Class 6 | Going: Standard to slow (Polytrack) | | flat

This is a fairly ordinary 3yo mile handicap, but that doesn’t make it straightforward. Viking Glory arrives off a win and is an obvious starting point, while The Bureau Club has been knocking on the door and looks well housed in stall 1 for a race around Kempton’s bends. Violet Goldsmith is another with a solid recent profile after a win and a second, although the handicapper hasn’t exactly missed her. Karakula Dancer is consistent enough to get involved again, and Alkumatic Jo Jo has bits of form that give him an each-way squeak. In truth, this isn’t a deep contest and a few are still hard to trust, so tactical position and who handles the mile best on this surface may well prove decisive.

Top Selections

1. The Bureau Club – 4/1 with Bet365

Jockey: Rossa Ryan | Trainer: Charlie Pike | Form: 677424 | Rating: 76 | Topspeed:

He looks the percentage call. The Bureau Club hasn’t got his head in front yet, but those last three efforts suggest he’s inching towards it rather than going the wrong way, and a mark of 76 gives him every chance in a Class 6 like this. The inside draw is a real plus at Kempton and Rossa Ryan is exactly the sort you want on one who should get a handy, economical trip. At 4/1 he isn’t a gift in a 14-runner handicap, but he has fewer questions to answer than most and holds strong claims of finally getting the job done. Bet: WIN

Bet: WIN

2. Alkumatic Jo Jo – 11/1 with Paddy Power

Jockey: Jonny Peate | Trainer: Ivan Furtado | Form: 265735 | Rating: 75 | Topspeed: 67

For an each-way play, Alkumatic Jo Jo makes plenty of appeal at the prices. He’s not wildly progressive, but he has been running with enough credit to suggest he can be competitive from this sort of mark, and his Topspeed figure of 67 stacks up pretty well in the context of this race. Stall 3 should help him stay out of trouble and Jonny Peate can keep things simple from there. You wouldn’t call him bombproof, but 11/1 with four places on offer feels more than fair in a race where several of the shorter ones are hardly prolific winners. He looks the value each-way punt. Bet: EACH-WAY

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

The Bureau Club is the win play, largely because his recent form is solid and the draw/jockey combination looks ideal for this track. Alkumatic Jo Jo is the each-way alternative at a double-figure price and makes more appeal than some of the more obvious market rivals from a value perspective. Danger-wise, Viking Glory is hard to dismiss after that latest win, while Violet Goldsmith is respected despite a slightly less forgiving mark.

17:30 – Unibet/Breeders Backing Racing EBF Maiden Stakes (GBB Race)

Race Details: 1m | Class 4 | Going: Standard to slow (Polytrack) | | flat

This looks a maiden with a very obvious shape to it. Venetian Sky, Mercantile and Sea Brave bring the standout form and, between them, they set a clear standard on both ratings and what they’ve already shown on the track. Venetian Sky has the benefit of experience and arrives on the back of a string of solid efforts, while Mercantile made an immediate impact when runner-up on debut and looks the type to step forward. Sea Brave has twice finished second and is no back number either. After that, it gets murkier. Assiri Heights is the only one at a bigger price who makes some appeal if improving again, but several of these look up against it. Strong enough maiden at the top, thin enough underneath.

Top Selections

1. Mercantile – 13/8 with Bet365

Jockey: Billy Loughnane | Trainer: Daniel & Claire Kubler | Form: 2 | Rating: 87 | Topspeed: 39

Mercantile sets a pretty serious standard for a once-raced maiden. That debut second earned him a lofty mark of 87, which immediately puts him right at the head of this field, and there’s every chance he has more to come now that he knows the job. Billy Loughnane is a notable booking for a yard that can place one well, and stall 2 is no bad place to operate from around here. At 13/8 he is not exactly hidden from the market, but this looks the sort of race where the obvious answer may well be the right one. He holds strong claims. Bet: WIN

2. Assiri Heights – 10/1 with Paddy Power

Jockey: Oisin Murphy | Trainer: Andrew Balding | Form: 9-6 | Rating: 64 | Topspeed: 21

If you want something at a price against the three principals, Assiri Heights is the one that makes most each-way appeal. He was poor first time out but shaped a bit better when sixth on his return, and it would be no surprise at all if there were another step forward now. Andrew Balding and Oisin Murphy is a combination that always commands respect in this sort of race, and a mark of 64 leaves him with something to find but not an impossible amount. At 10/1 he looks the value play for those wanting to get beyond the market leaders. Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Mercantile is the win play and looks the percentage call given the strength of that debut second. For an each-way punt, Assiri Heights makes more appeal than the exposed outsiders and could easily improve into the frame. Venetian Sky is the obvious danger on her consistent profile, while Sea Brave also has enough form to make life uncomfortable for the selection.

18:00 – Unibet 40,000+ Live Streamed Events Handicap

Race Details: 1m | Class 5 | Going: Standard to slow (Polytrack) | | flat

This is a proper Kempton handicap puzzle, made slightly cleaner by the absence of Between Me And U after that hat-trick. Even so, there are plenty with believable cases. Lady Manzor has been knocking on the door and brings consistent recent form, while Potomac River shaped as though another success over this sort of trip is near. Gunfighter is well berthed in stall 1 and has the raw speed figures to be very dangerous if things fall right, whereas Longlai is the solid old operator who won’t mind a tactical mile around here. The fly in the ointment is Spirit Lead Me, who heads the market despite thoroughly uninspiring recent form, and that makes this look more tricky than strong. In a race full of exposed handicappers, I’d rather side with proven current wellbeing than reputation.

Top Selections

1. Lady Manzor – 11/2 with Bet365

Jockey: Jack Dace | Trainer: Amanda Perrett | Form: 644443 | Rating: 92 | Topspeed: 71

She’s not exactly hiding from the assessor, but Lady Manzor is the one arriving here with the most persuasive recent profile. Those repeated placed efforts tell you she’s holding her form well, and a mark of 92 still looks workable in this grade if she gets a genuinely run mile. The Topspeed figure of 71 stacks up nicely in the context of this race and, unlike some of these, she doesn’t need a leap of faith after a string of flat efforts. Amanda Perrett’s filly looks straightforward and reliable, which counts for plenty in a race of this nature. At 11/2, she makes plenty of appeal as the percentage call. Bet: WIN

Bet: WIN

2. Gunfighter – 15/2 with Bet365

Jockey: David Egan | Trainer: John Butler | Form: -79175 | Rating: 86 | Topspeed: 77

Gunfighter is the each-way angle because there’s enough here to think he can outrun his price, especially from stall 1 around Kempton’s mile start. His Topspeed figure of 77 is the best on offer in this field, and that immediately puts him on the shortlist if he gets the race run to suit. The recent form is mixed, but not hopeless, and John Butler’s runners in these all-weather handicaps are often worth a second look when the market is only half-convinced. David Egan is a positive booking and, with four places on offer, 15/2 looks fair for a horse with his blend of draw, pace and proven ability. Bet: EACH-WAY

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Lady Manzor is the win play because she brings the most solid and repeatable recent form into a race where several rivals are hard to trust. Gunfighter is the each-way punt from a good inside draw and has the speed figure to get involved if things fall his way. Potomac River and Longlai look the obvious dangers, while Spirit Lead Me is opposable at the head of the market on recent evidence.

18:30 – Unibet Fillies’ Novice Stakes (GBB Race)

Race Details: 7f | Class 3 | Going: Standard to slow (Polytrack) | | flat

This looks a compact but quite informative fillies’ novice, with the market understandably revolving around Lex Victoria after a winning debut and an opening mark of 88. That sets a fair standard in a race where several of the dangers are well-bred newcomers rather than fillies bringing solid form to the table. Pink Larkspur, Dreamology and Sioux Empress all represent yards fully capable of readying one first time, so it is not a gimme for the favourite, especially over 7f at Kempton where position and professionalism count. Even so, proven form is often gold in these autumn juvenile events and Lex Victoria brings the one piece of substance on paper. Strong enough race for the grade, but not an impossible puzzle.

Top Selections

1. Lex Victoria – 1/1 with Bet365

Jockey: Oisin Murphy | Trainer: Simon & Ed Crisford | Form: 1 | Rating: 88 | Topspeed:

She is the obvious one, but that does not make her a bad bet. A debut winner already rated 88 is bringing a level of substance that the rest largely have to guess at, and the Crisford team know exactly what is required with these sharp 2-year-old fillies. Oisin Murphy is another notable positive around Kempton, where getting a youngster into a rhythm matters plenty. Odds of 1/1 are hardly giveaway material in a novice full of unexposed types, but she has already shown she can do it on the track rather than only on the gallops. Hard to oppose if building on that opening success. Bet: WIN

Bet: WIN

2. Sioux Empress – 7/1 with Bet365

Jockey: Billy Loughnane | Trainer: George Boughey | Form: | Rating: | Topspeed:

If you want to play against the favourite for a bit of value, Sioux Empress makes more appeal than most as an each-way punt. George Boughey is no stranger to ready juveniles, Billy Loughnane is an eye-catching booking, and this stable tends to place its youngsters with intent rather than just giving them educational spins. In a seven-runner race with only two places, you still need plenty to go right, but 7/1 looks fair in a contest where several rivals are also debutantes and have to prove they know their job first time. She is the one who could outrun the market if the favourite is even slightly vulnerable. Bet: EACH-WAY

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Keep it straightforward: Lex Victoria is the win bet because she sets the clear form standard and already looks a professional juvenile. For a bit more juice, Sioux Empress is the each-way alternative at 7/1 in a race where first-time-out ability could go a long way. The obvious dangers are Pink Larkspur and Dreamology, both from yards that can land these on debut.

19:00 – Unibet Supporting Safer Gambling Fillies’ Novice Stakes (GBB Race)

Race Details: 7f | Class 4 | Going: Standard to slow (Polytrack) | | flat

This doesn’t look a deep novice on paper and the market has latched firmly onto that, with Enchanted Queen bringing the standout level of established form after three solid efforts last season. Yimmna is the obvious alternative on ratings after a pair of runner-up finishes, while Noozhaa adds a bit of intrigue as a Roger Varian debutante in a race lacking depth beyond the principals. Cosmic Girl has shown only flashes, and the rest have plenty to find on what they’ve achieved so far. Over this Kempton 7f, professionalism counts for plenty, so proven ability and tactical position should decide it more than raw potential. It looks fairly straightforward rather than a fiendish puzzle, though the newcomer could easily shake things up.

Top Selections

1. Enchanted Queen – 4/6 with Bet365

Jockey: Billy Loughnane | Trainer: George Boughey | Form: 232- | Rating: 92 | Topspeed:

Enchanted Queen is hard to oppose in a race of this shape. Her 232 form stands out a mile in this field, and an official mark of 92 is a serious number for a fillies’ novice at this level. She has already shown she can hold her own in better company than most of these have encountered, and George Boughey’s team know exactly how to place one to get the job done. Billy Loughnane is another plus around Kempton, where positive, uncomplicated rides are often rewarded. At 4/6 she’s no giveaway, but she sets the clear standard and looks the most likely winner by some margin. Bet: WIN

Bet: WIN

2. Noozhaa – 3/1 with Bet365

Jockey: Jack Mitchell | Trainer: Roger Varian | Form: | Rating: | Topspeed:

If you want to take on the favourite for place purposes, Noozhaa makes most appeal as the each-way play. A Varian newcomer in a race where the exposed opposition don’t amount to much is always worth a second look, and Jack Mitchell is an eye-catching booking at this track. The draw in 8 is not ideal, but with only eight runners that shouldn’t be a major barrier if she breaks cleanly and travels. At 3/1 she isn’t exactly thrown in, but she may well have more upside than the likes of Cosmic Girl and the bigger-priced exposed fillies. In a thin contest, she looks the one most likely to outrun limited public evidence. Bet: EACH-WAY

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Keep it simple: Enchanted Queen is the win bet because her form and rating tower over this field. For an each-way angle, Noozhaa is the only one with the potential to improve past the exposed types. Yimmna is the obvious danger if reproducing her solid placed form, but she looks a touch short enough against the favourite.

19:30 – Unibet More Extra Place Races Handicap

Race Details: 7f | Class 5 | Going: Standard to slow (Polytrack) | | flat

This looks a proper competitive 7f handicap rather than a weak late-evening affair, with several three-year-olds arriving with upside and a few exposed older hands trying to keep them honest. Musical Soldier is the obvious starting point after a rock-solid sequence of figures and he’s drawn well enough to get a handy position, while Dandy G Boy has been knocking on the door and Mojito is interesting back on this surface from stall 1. Bundok has been running respectably without quite getting his head in front and looks the sort to keep finding one or two too good unless things fall perfectly. Moon Beginnings heads the weights and has the jockey booking to attract support, but this is no gimme from a wide draw. Tricky, yes, but not impossible to solve.

Top Selections

1. Musical Soldier – 5/2 with Bet365

Jockey: Billy Loughnane | Trainer: Ollie Sangster | Form: 221112 | Rating: 80 | Topspeed: 70

He’s the percentage call and, frankly, hard to crab. This progressive three-year-old has done little wrong in his last six starts, winning three on the spin before bumping into one better last time, and that topspeed figure of 70 is the best in the field. Off 131 he still looks fairly treated for a horse who is plainly thriving, and the draw in stall 2 should allow Billy Loughnane to keep things simple around Kempton. In a race where some of the dangers have questions over consistency or track position, Musical Soldier brings the cleanest profile. At 5/2 he is no giveaway, but he still makes plenty of appeal. Bet: WIN

Bet: WIN

2. Penfolds Grange – 11/1 with Bet365

Jockey: Alfie Redman | Trainer: Mark Pattinson | Form: 226397 | Rating: 82 | Topspeed: 67

For an each-way play, Penfolds Grange makes more appeal than a few shorter in the market. He’s not been shaping like a serial winner, but his better efforts earlier in the season give him a definite shout in this grade and that 67 topspeed figure says he has enough raw ability to be involved if getting the run of the race. Stall 4 is a handy draw in a 14-runner 7f handicap here, and with four places on offer he doesn’t need to improve dramatically to make the frame. At 11/1, he looks the value against rivals like Moon Beginnings and Bundok who may prove a shade tighter in the betting than they ought to be. Bet: EACH-WAY

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Musical Soldier is the solid win play given his current level of form, strong speed figure and favourable draw. For those playing the extra places angle, Penfolds Grange appeals as the each-way punt at double-figure odds. Dandy G Boy looks the obvious danger, while Mojito is another who could get involved if bouncing back from a couple of lesser runs.

20:00 – Bet £20 Get £20 With Unibet Handicap

Race Details: 1m 2f | Class 6 | Going: Standard to slow (Polytrack) | | flat

This is a fairly ordinary Class 6 on paper, but not a hopeless one, and there are a few with solid enough claims if things fall right. Birthday Angel brings the most convincing recent form after finishing second on his return, while Tinsel and Uzincso are obvious players in a race lacking much depth. The three-year-olds could easily dominate, though, with Goldfinder and Minerality both looking the type to do better in this company, and Brave New World is another who could take a step forward now settling into handicaps. With 12 runners and four places on offer, it is the sort of race where a strong pace and track position will matter plenty. Tricky enough from a betting perspective, but not impossible.

Top Selections

1. Goldfinder – 7/1 with Bet365

Jockey: David Probert | Trainer: Patrick Chamings | Form: 444250 | Rating: 67 | Topspeed: 55

Goldfinder is the one I keep coming back to because his profile makes more appeal than the bare finishing positions might suggest. He has been running respectably in slightly better races than this and that Topspeed figure of 55 is one of the more persuasive pieces of evidence on offer in a modest contest. Stall 2 is a help around here, and dropping into this grade gives him a real chance to travel kindly and be produced late. The latest zero does need forgiving, but at 7/1 with Bet365 he looks worth that leap of faith in a race where several of the market leaders have less room for manoeuvre. Bet: WIN

2. Minerality – 7/1 with Bet365

Jockey: Rossa Ryan | Trainer: Dr Richard Newland | Form: 89673 | Rating: 64 | Topspeed: 32

Minerality is not bombproof, but he makes plenty of each-way appeal from the inside draw with Rossa Ryan taking over. His recent third hinted that he is beginning to understand the job, and in a race of this nature that counts for a lot. He gets in here off 64, receives weight from some of the more exposed older horses, and looks the sort who could get a handy stalking trip from stall 1 before staying on when others have cried enough. He is hardly a flashy candidate, but 7/1 is a fair price for a horse with upside in this grade and four places make him a sensible each-way punt. Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Goldfinder is the win play here, chiefly because this is an easier assignment and he has the numbers to be competitive if bouncing back. Minerality is the each-way option with four places on offer, especially from a good draw and with Ryan booked. Birthday Angel is the obvious danger on recent form, while Tinsel also has enough ability to get involved if seeing out the trip strongly.

20:30 – Unibet Interactive Handicap (London Sprint Series Qualifier)

Race Details: 6f | Class 4 | Going: Standard to slow (Polytrack) | | flat

This looks a tight little 3yo sprint rather than a deep one, with the market understandably focusing on Bintaryana and Art Lover. The former arrives here in winning form and has done very little wrong all season, while Art Lover shaped well enough on his latest start to suggest a race like this is within reach. Old Is Gold comes here off a win too, but he has to defy top weight from a wide draw, which is never ideal around Kempton over 6f. Augustus Gloop is the one at a bigger price who could easily get involved if this is run to suit, as he’s not badly treated and has enough pace figures to make him interesting. It’s not an impossible puzzle, but there are enough angles to stop it being straightforward.

Top Selections

1. Bintaryana – 7/4 with Paddy Power

Jockey: Oisin Murphy | Trainer: William Knight | Form: 122101 | Rating: 97 | Topspeed: 75

Bintaryana is hard to oppose. That form string tells its own story: she has been knocking on the door all year and got back to winning ways last time, so she comes here as the solid, progressive one in the field. An opening mark of 97 demands a bit more, but this is not overloaded with unexposed sprinters and she looks the runner most likely to cope. Oisin Murphy is an eye-catching booking and from stall 2 she ought to get a handy position without too much fuss. At 7/4 she is no giveaway, but in a race lacking depth she makes plenty of appeal as the percentage call. Bet: WIN

2. Augustus Gloop – 6/1 with Bet365

Jockey: Daniel Muscutt | Trainer: James Fanshawe | Form: 267484 | Rating: 96 | Topspeed: 77

Augustus Gloop is the each-way angle in a race where the obvious pair dominate the betting. His recent form does not leap off the page, but he has been running in a way that suggests he is not far away, and that Topspeed figure of 77 is actually the best on offer here. Fanshawe’s runners often come good with a bit of patience, and this sort of Kempton sprint could suit better than some of the races he has been contesting. From stall 3 he should get cover and a decent tow into it, and 6/1 looks fair enough for a colt who does not need much improvement to hit the frame. Bet: EACH-WAY

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Bintaryana is the straightforward win play and the one with the fewest questions to answer. For an each-way punt, Augustus Gloop makes more appeal than the shorter alternatives because his price gives you room to manoeuvre in a seven-runner race with three places on offer. Art Lover is the obvious danger, while Old Is Gold has to be respected despite top weight.
