Kempton Racing Tips (Monday 30 March 2026)
Seven races take place at Kempton on Monday, with a 2.10pm start. Andrew has a brace of selections that line up in the 3.10pm and 5.10pm.
3.10 Kempton – Holy Fire (0.5pt e/w – 12/1 with the firms paying three places – bet365, Betfred, Coral and Ladbrokes)
Holy Fire broke a losing streak stretching back to May 2023 when landing a 7f Class 5 fillies’ handicap in good style here in late January on her penultimate start. The Charlie Fellowes-trained six-year-old was beaten over 1m at the same venue next time but that two-length fifth of 12 against mostly male rivals (the four who beat her were geldings) was a respectable effort and it took her record on Kempton’s Polytrack to 12272405415 (2-11), improving to 121 (2-3) against her own sex, with the sole defeat by a short head off a handicap mark of 82 (she runs off 66 today). The time of her latest win was fast for the grade and the return to fillies’/mares’ company could see her bounce back to victory.
5.10 Kempton – Kindly Queen (1pt win – 8/1 bet365, 888sport, 15/2 generally)
There are plenty of handicap debutants in this 1m4f Class 6 contest who could take a step forward now graduating from maiden/novice company, including Dan Skelton’s Salkadan (weak in the market overnight) and while I’ll save on that one if the money arrives the preferred option is Ralph Beckett’s Kindly Queen. The daughter of Nathaniel clocked a useful speed figure when an 18-1 third behind 83-rated pair Into The Light and Al Azd in a 1m2f Class 3 maiden on Lingfield’s Polytrack last time, doing too much too soon and hanging right on the left-handed track. The return to right-handed Kempton and step up to 1m4f will help and Rossa Ryan is back on board for the first time since she ran fourth here on her debut. Her opening mark of 65 looks more than workable.
Wolverhampton Racing Tips (Monday 30 March 2026)
There are another seven races at Wolverhampton on Monday night, and you don’t have to wait long for Andrew’s best bet on the card, as he picks out his best bet in the 5.30pm contest.
5.30 Wolverhampton – Spun To Gold (1pt win – 9/2 generally)
Henry Callan continued his fine record in amateur rider races when scoring on Rising Force (tipped in this column) at Doncaster yesterday, taking his record in these contests to 11 wins from 34 rides for a profit of £21.29 to a £1 level stake at SP. He didn’t ride his first winner until last summer and his record since August 1st stands at 11 wins from 22 bets for a profit of £33.29. Callan bids to extend that impressive sequence on Jim Goldie’s Spun To Gold, who looks interesting on his first start at Dunstall Park. This four-time all-weather winner is on the same handicap mark as when scoring over 7f at Southwell In October – the last time he ran on the all-weather away from Newcastle’s straight track – and his only other left-handed outing on synthetics produced a 7f Chelmsford maiden success. The downside is that he’s a hold-up horse coming out of stall 1 – less than ideal over this course and distance as such runners often get shuffled back and then need luck in running – but they usually go hard in amateur rider’ handicaps and he’s still worth a punt given his jockey’s profile.
