King George VI Chase 2025 Tips, Odds & Trends - British Star To Sparkle At Kempton

A hugely exciting King George VI Chase will take place at Kempton Park on Friday 26 December, as some of the premier staying chasers do battle for Grade 1 glory on Boxing Day. Eight horses are set to line up in the 3m showpiece with Gaelic Warrior, Fact To File and Jango Baie looking the three main protagonists for glory.

We take a look at the eight-strong field, whilst taking a look at all the odds, as well as looking at the key trends and stats that can help you find a winner. We also make our big-race selection for what should be a stunning renewal.

2025 King George VI Chase Runners

Gaelic Warrior and Fact To File fought out the finish in a vintage renewal of the John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown and the Willie Mullins-trained pair are set to lock horns again in the King George VI Chase on Friday afternoon. Both proven class acts on their day they sit prominent in the betting for Kempton’s event and certainly set the standard. Nicky Henderson’s Jango Baie will be flying the flag for the home brigade and last season’s Arkle hero made a winning return in the 1965 Chase at Ascot and is looking to continue his progression here. Impressive when winning the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase at Kempton Park last season, The Jukebox Man will take his chance for Ben Pauling and he made a winning return at Haydock Park last time out. Reigning champion Banbridge reeled in Il Est Francais in last year’s King George and that pair add yet more depth to the contest.

We have looked back at recent renewals of the King George VI Chase and picked out some of the key trends and stats to follow when trying to pick the winner.

King George VI Chase Tips

All eyes will be on the Irish pairing on Gaelic Warrior and Fact To File, with the former looking more appealing of the Mullins pair, but they could both have to chase home Jango Baie, who continues to improve for Nicky Henderson and looks an exciting staying chaser. He will relish this 3m trip around Kempton Park and he could relish the chance to sit off the front-running Il Est Francais and pounce late on like Banbridge did last year to land the prize.
