Leicester Racing Tips - Andrew Mount's Best Bets for Monday 13 April

Andrew Mount landed a 7/2 winner on Sunday and heads to Leicester for his best bets on Monday 13 April. He attempts to continue the winning run and has a trio of selections for the Flat action.

Grosvenor have a fabulous welcome offer for horse racing punters as they are offering Double The Odds to a maximum £10 stake.

Leicester Racing Tips (Monday 13 April 2026)

Eight races start at 1.52pm at Leicester, with some competitive racing taking place throughout the card. Andrew’s best bets run in the 3.22pm and 4.22pm races.

3.22 Leicester – Wreck It Ryley (1pt win – 9/2 Sky Bet, Paddy Power, 4/1 generally)

Wreck It Ryley seems happiest when drawn near a rail, his four turf wins coming from stalls 10 of 10, 11 of 11, 5 of 5 and 2 of 14, with the latest success over today’s course and distance. I took a chance and backed Alan Brown’s six-year-old in a 7f handicap at Newcastle last time as he was drawn in stall 11 of 11 but the action unfolded on the oppositie side of the track and the 33-1 shot was probably in need of the outing after 160 days off the track. He still ran with credit to finish just under three lengths behind the winner in ninth and stall 2 of 10 looks ideal today, assuming the usual Leicester far-side bias on the straight course.

15:22 Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap (Div I)

4.22 Leicester – Albeseeingyer (1pt win – 15/2 888sport, 7/1 generally) & Brunel Nation (1pt win – 6/1 bet365, 888sport)

Steph Hollinshead had a second time out winner in the shape of Myal at Thirsk on Saturday, who had prepped at Doncaster’s Lincoln meeting, and her Albseeingyer can repeat the dose in this 7f Class 5 handicap. The seven-year-old shaped well on Town Moor last month, finishing a weak-in-the-market tenth of 15 in Class 5 company and will be happier in today’s grade. Her record in handicaps below Class 4 level stands at 511111361343 (6-12) for a profit of £33.25 to a £1 level stake at SP and she’s likely to be prominent on a track that strongly favours such tactics.

I also want to side with Brunel Nation, who looks interesting now returned to a straight turf course in first-time cheekpieces. The five-year-old never got involved from off the pace when seventh of nine in a Class 4 handicap on Lingfield’s Polytrack last time but has form figures in handicaps on straight turf courses of 1321 (2-4), with both wins under prominent rides. Progeny of Sioux Nation are seven from 36 in first-time cheekpieces on turf for a huge profit of £88.33 to a £1 level stake at SP and his sole previous run in a Class 5 handicap saw him win by three lengths at Chelmsford.
