Three meetings take place on Sunday, with Ireland taking over with the headline races. There is Group race action at Leopardstown on the flat.
GG tipster Joe Napier has two Lucky 15 selections from that track, as well as two from the jumps meeting at Ludlow.
Leopardstown Racing Tips (Sunday 10 May)
The Group 3 Derby Trial is just one of three Pattern races at Leopardstown on Sunday. We have selections in the two prior Pattern contests.
2.30 Leopardstown – City Of Memphis (1pt win – 13/8)
Despite three-year-old Signora’s presence in this line-up, City Of Memphis is the least exposed in the field. Paddy Twomey’s filly has only raced three times, but looks destined to win at Group level. The daughter of Sioux Nation went off just 8/13 for her debut this time last year. She won comfortably over 6 at Cork that day, then finished fifth in the Irish 1000 Guineas. She was the least experienced in that field and had still only raced twice to begin 2026. However, she impressed on return, beating former Group 3 winner Cowardofthecounty at Gowran Park. That was her first run over 7f and this looks her ideal distance. With so much improvement possible, she goes on any ground and could easily make this a stepping stone to even greater heights.
5.20 Leopardstown – Eniac (1pt win – 5/1)
Although three of his rivals have already won a handicap, Eniac may be the next to do so here. Donnacha O’Brien’s charge was outclassed on debut at Naas over 7f last year. However, he then ran promisingly when third of 11 at Leopardstown upped to 1m. That trip proved too sharp again on return at Dundalk. He was entitled to need that race anyway and it is interesting that O’Brien forgoes any races over intermediate distances. His colt goes straight up to 1m4f here, which looks ideal given the stamina on his dam’s side. An opening mark of 78 overrates his racecourse efforts, but he is well-bred and has significant upside. There should be more to come.
Ludlow Racing Tips (Sunday 10 May)
Ludlow’s is the only card in Britain on Sunday. We have tips in two of their six races.
3.27 Ludlow – Hall Lane (1pt win – 3/1)
One surely destined to win soon is Hall Lane for Fergal O’Brien. The eight-year-old was well-beaten on debut for her new yard in January. She has since turned a corner though, with back-to-back runner-up finishes at Huntingdon and Taunton. In both of those, over 2m7½f, then 2m7f, she has been staying on strongly at the finish. She may need even further than 3m, but this extra bit of distance is likely to suit. She remains 10lb lower than her last winning mark and has evidently improved for joining O’Brien after some time off. A victory awaits her at some point this summer on good ground.
4.37 Ludlow – Regal Renaissance (1pt win – 13/8)
Claim Du Brizais will draw support for the Skeltons, but she has become disappointing. Against her, top-weight Regal Renaissance, though not a winning machine, hinted a belated second chase victory may arrive soon when second at Stratford last time out. Henry Daly’s mare has been second four times since her last win in November 2024. It looked like her form was waning last term, but back on good ground, she was only beaten a neck at the end of March. Her and the winner pulled well clear of the third and so a 2lb rise may not be harsh. That takes her back to a rating of 110, her last winning mark. She can remain well-treated and concede the weight to inferior rivals.
