Saturday’s racing revolves around three big handicaps across Britain and Ireland, with the Dan & Joan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse, and the Classic Chase at Warwick.
GG tipster Joe Napier picks out our Lucky 15 best bets across three of Saturday’s meetings at Lingfield, Fairyhouse and Warwick.
Lingfield Racing Tips (Saturday 10 January 2026)
Eight races are set to go to post at Lingfield on Saturday, with the all-weather surface almost certain to beat the weather. Two of our four lucky 15 tips come on the Polytrack card.
12.10 Lingfield – Zaltalla (1pt win – 5/1)
The drop in class and generous race conditions may present a golden chance for Zaltalla to win, as the in-form Neil Callan takes the ride. The five-year-old won over course and distance in August off a mark of 52, and was second over 1m here off 56 later that month, before losing his way throughout the rest of 2025. However, he has shaped with promise at Lingfield twice since November and has had an unfortunate habit of being drawn wide, which is again the case here. However, it should be less of an issue being in stall eight of nine here, especially in a race that should prove a much easier task than others he has faced recently, with his biggest form rival, Call Glory, conceding him 5lb and up to a trip over which he is unproven.
3.00 Lingfield – Baldomero (1pt win – 9/4)
Accrual has been in superb form for David Loughnane, thriving with his racing, but he is penalised heavily for recent wins which have come over 6f rather than 5f. As a result, he now looks vulnerable to rejuvenated eight-year-old Baldomero. Mick Appleby’s yard are operating at a 17% strike rate since the start of December, 5% above his rolling five-year average, with the selection having won twice in the final two weeks of 2025, both over 5f at Wolverhampton and Lingfield. For a horse who used to find winning a struggle, he has now won three of his last four and is only 2lb higher for when overcoming trouble in running to win here latest. He is on a career-high mark, but he has never been in better form.
Fairyhouse Racing Tips (Saturday 10 January 2026)
Fairyhouse’s Saturday card looks set to beat the weather, with a Grade 3 handicap the highlight. Our selection in Ireland runs in that feature race too.
1.40 Fairyhouse – Blood Destiny (1pt win – 13/2)
Although he has never been rated higher than his current mark of 152, Blood Destiny has some past form which suggests he is more than capable of defying this mark in handicap company. Defeats of Heart Wood and Spillane’s Tower in his novice chasing season point to how useful he is on his day, while he has failed to finish outside of the first three in open company since the start of last season. He has flattered to deceive at Graded level, though he was third behind two very progressive rivals at Gowran Park at the start of this season, with both the winner, Western Fold, and more notably the runner-up, Affordale Fury, going on to even better things more recently. A strongly run 2m1f here could really play to his strengths and Fairyhouse has suited in the past, while he is also the choice of Paul Townend among four Willie Mullins declarations.
Warwick Racing Tips (Saturday 10 January 2026)
Warwick’s Classic Chase day is the main race at the venue throughout the calendar and our Lucky 15 tip runs in that showpiece contest.
2.55 Warwick – Resplendent Grey (1pt win – 6/1)
Four of the nine runners in the Classic Chase are out of the weights in an oddly skewed edition of Warwick’s big handicap. Myretown boasts the most significant potential for improvement, but he has fallen on two of his last four starts and is a risky proposition as favourite. Of the other four within the handicap proper, Resplendent Grey looks the fairest treated, as well as remaining the most upwardly mobile if forgiving his poor performance in the Coral Gold Cup last time out. That was a significant blip on his record, as the bet365 Gold Cup winner returned with a gutsy win over too short a trip at Carlisle before being one of the more inconvenienced runners by the standing start at Newbury last time out. The handicapper may have been generous to drop him 1lb for that run and he is also proven over this 3m5f trip, which cannot be said of some of the main dangers here.
