3.25 Lingfield – Toolatetonegotiate (1pt win – 4/1 Paddy Power, 888sport, 7/2 generally)
The Daisy Hitchens-trained Toolatetonegotiate caught the eye when a 9-1 one-length third to Fidelius (re-opposes today) over course and distance last time, doing well to finish so close as she missed the break, the winner as allowed to set steady fractions, and she ducked up the ‘dead’ inside rail to challenge. That took her record in handicaps over track and trip to 424211513 (3-9) and she should get a good tow into the race from Level Up. With luck, she’ll challenge down the outside this time.
Newcastle Racing Tips (Thursday 5 March 2026)
There’s early evening action on the all-weather at Newcastle, with a 4.55pm start. Andrew’s solitary selection runs in the 5.30pm contest.
5.30 Newcastle – Tactical Blitz (1pt win – 3/1 Paddy Power, 11/4 generally)
Tactical Blitz took a step forward when fourth at Lingfield on his second outing, going down by just over two lengths despite running green, and he showed considerable promise at in a 6f maiden Southwell next time when a 4-1 second of 12. Archie Watson’s three-year-old has been gelded since that run and looks a likely improver on his handicap debut.
