Lingfield Racing Tips (Tuesday 2 December 2025)
Lingfield’s card on Tuesday gives punters and attendees plenty of value for money, as they host a nine-race card throughout the afternoon.
1.00 Lingfield – Knight Of Glory (1pt win – 5/2 bet365)
Finishing fourth on debut at Chelmsford ultimately makes Knight Of Glory the standout on form in this restricted maiden. David Menuisier’s juvenile is a son of top-class US dirt performer Knicks Go, so may prove better on Lingfield’s Polytrack than he will on turf, while he was faced with a tough ask up against an 82-rated odds-on favourite of Roger Varian’s on his debut, but was only beaten a little over five lengths. He was the only finisher in the top six without a previous run and the seventh, the next best of those making their debuts, bolted in next time out, so the form looks sturdy.
2.00 Lingfield – Likealot (1pt win – 13/8 bet365)
Although Ralph Beckett’s Likealot has made a habit out of not winning, the daughter of Camelot looks to have been presented with a gilt-edged opportunity to right that wrong here. The selection has finished second in four handicaps this year, the most recent of those coming at Wolverhampton last month in first-time cheekpieces, and for which she is unpenalised in the handicap. Despite regularly running well, she has been falling in the handicap overall, but this looks easily the most winnable race she has contested since winning on her debut on the all-weather at Chelmsford back in February. This can be the day she belatedly returns to the winners’ enclosure.
Southwell Racing Tips (Tuesday 2 December 2025)
There are runners for yards as big as Dan Skelton and Olly Murphy at Southwell’s six-race card on Tuesday.
2.22 Southwell – Big Wigg (1pt win – 2/1 bet365)
The only bumper winner in this field, Big Wigg can also become the first in this field to win over hurdles. Tom Lacey’s charge was sixth in a fairly strong bumper at Warwick on debut last season, then stepped forward to win on his second start at Huntingdon in May. The runner-up, Snatch A Glance, won on her first start after a summer break at Ludlow in October before a close third on his hurdling debut. However, he then got his head in front in a 14-runner novice hurdle back at Ludlow, suggesting that Big Wigg beat a decent type and could easily make his own presence felt over hurdles when facing them for the first time. Lacey’s yard are in decent nick and so the five-year-old may well profit.
Newcastle Racing Tips (Tuesday 2 December 2025)
Newcastle’s all-weather card takes place on a different surface to Lingfield later in the afternoon, with eight races for visitors and viewers to enjoy.
3.12 Newcastle – Loving Look (1pt win – 13/2 bet365)
Four starts on all-weather surfaces have produced four top-three finishes for Loving Look, who has changed yards since her last run. She has joined Adrian Paul Keatley, who has struck with three of his last nine runners, including a stable debutant at Catterick 11 days ago, and his filly looks to be well-treated here. The four-year-old is 2lb below her last winning mark and now 7lb below the rating she contested a handicap at Southwell off in April, and with which she finished third. This 1m4 1/2f race back on the all-weather should represent ideal conditions for her to produce once again.
