Lingfield Racing Tips - Andrew Mount's Best Bets for Friday 27 February

Fresh from tipping up a 15/2 winner on Thursday, Andrew Mount is back with his best bets of the day on Friday 27 February.

Our top tipster opts to head to Lingfield Park‘s all-weather fixture for three selections. Check out his three tips for Friday’s racing below:

Lingfield Racing Tips (Friday 27 February 2026)

Seven races take place on the all-weather at Lingfield Park. Andrew has a trio of tips across the afternoon action.

1.42 Lingfield – Upepo (1pt each-way – 16/1 bet365)

Upepo loves it here and his course record in today’s Class 6 grade only stands at 11311 (4-5), with the sole defeat excusable as it came in the 2m “Hands And Heels” race won by 28-1 outsider-of-five Certain Style who was gifted a huge lead by the other four jockeys and won by 22 lengths unchallenged. He should have finished second that day, but Mason Paetel elected to challenge for that place on the ‘dead’ rail. Tony Carroll’s four-year-old has finished well beaten at Wolverhampton/Kempton since winning over 1m4f here in December but the return to this venue will suit and he’s worth chancing despite never having won over today’s 1m2f trip.

13:42 Midnite AWC Apprentice Handicap

2.12 Lingfield – Henrythenate (1pt win – 3/1 bet365)

The up-in-class Henrythenate has done well in two starts for Stuart Williams after leaving the care of Charlie Fellowes, landing a pair of 5f handicaps here by a combined margin of four lengths. He came from off the pace on each occasion and, while today’s extra furlong is an unknown, this race looks set to be run at a strong gallop, and he should get a clear passage down the centre of the track under Jack Dace. His trainer does well with Mayson progeny on the all-weather, scoring with seven of the 23 qualifiers for a profit of £16.25 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 3.90, A/E = 1.79).

14:12 BetMGM AWC 3 Year Old Trial Handicap

3.12 Lingfield – Ferrous (1.5pt win – 3/1 generally)

Ferrous has a cracking record on the all-weather, recording form figures of 211511134 (5-9) with the runner-up effort by a nose. In-form Jack Channon’s six-year-old won this race last season before going on to complete a hat-trick and his reappearance course and distance fourth behind dead-heaters Diligent Harry and Completely Random has been franked by the first-named. In all-weather handicaps only his all-weather record stands at 115111 (5-6) and he returns to that level today.

15:12 Midnite AWC Sprint Trial Handicap
