No Tackle improved significantly for his comeback 57-length seventh of 11 at Newton Abbot when causing a 20-1 upset over today’s course and distance on his second outing. Having tipped Robbie Llewellyn’s eight-year-old when successful at Leicester in February (8-1) on his third run of the 2024/25 campaign I was annoyed to see him go in that day as I felt he might still need the run, though a record of 40 wins from 191 starts for chase progeny of Gentlewave (+£72.35 to a £1 level stake at SP) suggests that I should have had at least something on. That profit for Gentlewave chasers improves to £92.02 for those aged seven or older. No Tackle won over hurdles at this meeting three years ago and, while yet to follow up a win, he arrives here with the best last time out speed figure and could enjoy the run of the race out in front.
