14:10 – Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 EBF Fillies’ Restricted Novice Stakes (Bands C & D) (EBF Qual’) (GBB)
Race Details: 5f | Class 5 | Going: Standard (Polytrack) | | flat
There’s a fairly obvious starting point here with Inglewood, who brings the best established form and sets the standard on what we’ve seen so far. She’s been knocking on the door in novice company and this restricted event looks a simpler assignment than some of the races she has been contesting. Birkacre Brow is the one with the most pressing claims of the experienced runners after improving to finish second last time, while Last Dandelion has a workable profile but does need to show a bit more sharpness. The unknowns are the danger in a race like this, with several newcomers in the line-up, but on paper this doesn’t look the deepest novice and proven 5f speed should count for plenty.
Top Selections
1. Inglewood – 5/6 with Bet365
Jockey: Charles Bishop | Trainer: Julie Camacho | Form: 523 | Rating: 75 | Topspeed:
Inglewood is hard to oppose. Her 523 form figures are comfortably the most persuasive in the field and that latest third reads well enough in the context of a race of this nature. She has already shown she can travel and hold her position in proper novice events, and dropping into a restricted contest could be the key move. An official mark of 75 leaves her right near the head of the figures and, crucially, she doesn’t have to prove basic ability like a good chunk of these. At 5/6 she’s no secret, but she still looks the solid play if reproducing her existing level. Bet: WIN
Bet: WIN
2. Birkacre Brow – 10/3 with Bet365
Jockey: David Probert | Trainer: James Tate | Form: 402 | Rating: 76 | Topspeed: 64
Birkacre Brow appeals as the each-way angle, especially if you want something at a more workable price than the favourite. James Tate’s filly took a nice step forward when runner-up last time and that 402 profile suggests she’s learning quickly. Her mark of 76 is actually a touch higher than Inglewood’s, and the Topspeed figure of 64 is another useful pointer in a race where not many have produced much substance yet. David Probert is a positive booking around Lingfield and stall 5 should give her options. She may still need the favourite to underperform to win, but 10/3 looks fair for a filly with solid place claims. Bet: EACH-WAY
Bet: EACH-WAY
Betting Strategy
Keep it straightforward: Inglewood is the win bet because she has the clearest body of form and this is a weaker spot than she’s been contesting. Birkacre Brow is the each-way punt in a nine-runner race with three places on offer, as she looks the most likely to chase the favourite home. Last Dandelion is the obvious danger if bouncing back, while any market strength for the newcomers would be worth noting.

14:45 – Free Tips On attheraces.com EBF Maiden Stakes (GBB/GBBPlus Race)
Race Details: 1m | Class 3 | Going: Standard (Polytrack) | | flat
This looks a maiden with a clear shape to it rather than an impossible guessing game. One Number sets the standard on what he has already achieved, arriving with solid 2yo form figures of 2035 and a lofty 104 rating, so he is the one the newcomers have to aim at. Royal Acclamation is the obvious threat on paper, representing Charlie Appleby and prominent in the market despite lacking racecourse experience. Behind the front pair, Berkshire Regal appeals as the type to do better over this mile for Andrew Balding, while the rest need to outrun double-figure prices. In truth, it is not a deep maiden for the grade, and the race may simply come down to whether proven form can hold off one smart debutant.
Top Selections
1. One Number – 6/5 with Bet365
Jockey: David Probert | Trainer: Joseph Patrick O’Brien | Form: 2035 | Rating: 104 | Topspeed:
He is the solid one in the line-up and that counts for plenty in a maiden where most of these are making their debut. A mark of 104 is a serious figure in this context and his 2035 form line tells you he has already been keeping useful company. There is always the risk that a well-bred newcomer from a major yard jumps past him, but at around 6/5 he still makes plenty of appeal because he brings substance where others bring promise. Probert is a good booking for a race that may become tactical, and if One Number runs to his mark he should take a lot of beating. Bet: WIN
Bet: WIN
2. Berkshire Regal – 5/1 with Bet365
Jockey: Jason Watson | Trainer: Andrew Balding | Form: | Rating: | Topspeed:
Of the less exposed types, Berkshire Regal makes most appeal as an each-way play. Balding’s juveniles are often well enough educated to do themselves justice first time and this mile on Polytrack could suit better than a sharper test would. Drawn widest in eight, Jason Watson will need to be sensible early, but in a field of only eight that is hardly fatal if the horse has the engine. At 5/1, he looks the value against Royal Acclamation if you are taking on the short-priced pair for place purposes, especially with several of the others appearing to have a lot more to find. Bet: EACH-WAY
Bet: EACH-WAY
Betting Strategy
Keep it straightforward: One Number is the win bet because he owns the standout form and rating, and this does not look a vintage maiden. Berkshire Regal is the each-way punt at 5/1, mainly as the one most likely to step forward enough to hit the frame. Royal Acclamation is the obvious danger if he is above average first time out.

15:20 – Air Cool Engineering Handicap
Race Details: 1m | Class 6 | Going: Standard (Polytrack) | | flat
This is a fairly ordinary Class 6 mile, but that does not make it easy. The market is likely to latch on to Ocean Force, who has the inside pace angle from stall 3 and a notably low weight, though she is short enough in a race where a few arrive with similar claims. Bajan Bandit and Dandy Khan are solid, exposed yardsticks at this level, while Manton Road comes here off the back of a win and still looks on the upgrade compared to plenty of these. Francisco and Whitesnake have bits of form that give them a squeak if things fall right, but this looks the sort where tactical position and who gets the smoothest passage round Lingfield’s turns could decide it. Tricky enough, but not impossible to solve.
Top Selections
1. Manton Road – 7/1 with William Hill
Jockey: Callum Hutchinson | Trainer: Richard Phillips | Form: 703231 | Rating: 69 | Topspeed: 59
He makes plenty of appeal in a race lacking depth. That recent form line of 703231 tells you he has been building towards something, and last time he got his head in front after knocking on the door. A mark of 69 still looks workable judged on that latest effort, and his Topspeed figure of 59 is right up there in this field. Stall 10 is not ideal around here, but he has enough recent confidence behind him to overcome it if Hutchinson can slot him in. At 7/1, he looks a fair bit more interesting than the favourite in a race where proven current wellbeing counts for plenty. Bet: WIN
Bet: WIN
2. Whitesnake – 14/1 with Paddy Power
Jockey: Jason Watson | Trainer: Roger Teal | Form: 4-7733 | Rating: 66 | Topspeed: 56
He is the each-way play in a contest where consistency may get rewarded. Those last two thirds suggest he is holding his form well enough, and off 66 he is not badly treated if Jason Watson can get him settled from a wide draw. He is not obviously thrown in, but this is Class 6 company and there are not many lurking improvers in here. His Topspeed mark of 56 says he has the raw ability to be competitive, and the 14/1 on offer looks a touch dismissive for a runner arriving in better nick than several of these. He is the type to keep finding under pressure and nick a place, with more not impossible. Bet: EACH-WAY
Bet: EACH-WAY
Betting Strategy
Manton Road is the win play at a workable price after a deserved latest success and looks the percentage call. For each-way punters, Whitesnake makes plenty of appeal at 14/1 with four places on offer. Ocean Force is the obvious danger if the market has it right, while Bajan Bandit and Dandy Khan are solid enough for the shortlist without screaming value.

15:55 – Follow @attheraces On X Handicap
Race Details: 7f | Class 5 | Going: Standard (Polytrack) | | flat
This is a proper Lingfield handicap puzzle, made a little easier by the non-runner Split Elevens coming out, but it still looks deep enough for punters to tread carefully. The younger legs are interesting, with Powder Monkey, Paranjape, Starlight Sami and Yachtsman all bringing bits of unexposed 3yo form into a race where several older hands like Red Hat Eagle, Gunfighter and State Of Madness are thoroughly exposed. Powder Monkey sets a fair standard on consistency and draw, while Paranjape has been competitive in similar company and could still have a little more to give. Red Hat Eagle is respected off top weight, but this feels the type where a well-treated 3yo can edge out the battle-hardened regulars. Tricky rather than strong, but there should be no hiding place around here.
Top Selections
1. Powder Monkey – 4/1 with Bet365
Jockey: Pat Cosgrave | Trainer: George Boughey | Form: 2356 | Rating: 76 | Topspeed: 62
He looks the percentage call. Powder Monkey hasn’t won yet, but there’s a solidity to his profile that makes plenty of appeal in a race full of runners with questions to answer. His form figures of 2356 suggest he has been holding his own, and an opening mark of 76 for a 3yo in this grade does not look excessive. Stall 2 is a help over this trip at Lingfield, and Boughey’s runners in these all-weather handicaps are rarely here to make up the numbers. At 4/1 he is hardly a giveaway, but he has fewer negatives than most and looks the one most likely to run his race. Bet: WIN
2. Paranjape – 13/2 with Bet365
Jockey: Millie Wonnacott | Trainer: S Woods | Form: 5-2746 | Rating: 77 | Topspeed: 56
Paranjape makes plenty of each-way appeal in a race where the market may focus a little too heavily on the obvious pair at the top. He has shown enough in handicaps to think this mark is workable, and that 2746 sequence is better than it first reads because he has been mixing it in decent enough company without getting beaten out of sight. He carries just 130, and as a 3yo against exposed older rivals, there is every chance he still has some upside. The draw in 12 is not ideal, but at 13/2 he looks the value alternative if things fall right from off the pace. Bet: EACH-WAY
Betting Strategy
Keep it fairly simple here. Powder Monkey is the win play because he brings the most reliable profile and a handy low draw. Paranjape is the each-way punt with four places on offer, as his mark looks workable and he still has scope. The obvious dangers are Gunfighter, who is hard to dismiss in this grade, and Red Hat Eagle, who has enough class to get involved if bouncing back.

16:30 – Sky Sports Racing Virgin 512 Handicap
Race Details: 6f | Class 6 | Going: Standard (Polytrack) | | flat
This is a very ordinary 3yo handicap, but that does not make it simple. Plenty arrive with something to prove and the market is understandably focused on a handful with either recent placed form or a last-time-out win. Pennine Way looks the solid one after shaping well in defeat last time, while Royal County Glory has the best Topspeed figure on offer and is dangerous if bouncing back. Fuseboard comes here off a win but has a wide stall to deal with, and Apex Star is another drawn low who has been knocking on the door. In a race lacking depth, track position and who handles the hustle of this sharp 6f best will probably decide it. Tricky enough, but not impossible to narrow down.
Top Selections
1. Pennine Way – 3/1 with Bet365
Jockey: George Bass | Trainer: Jack Channon | Form: -67732 | Rating: 65 | Topspeed: 49
Pennine Way makes plenty of appeal in a race where not many are arriving in convincing nick. He has been edging back towards his best, and that latest second suggests his turn is near off a workable mark of 65. Draw 4 looks handy around Lingfield, and he does not need to improve much to take this if getting a decent tow into the race. Jack Channon’s runner is hardly thrown in, but he is one of the few here with recent, reliable form and fewer question marks than most. At 3/1, he is not a gift, but he is the percentage call. Bet: WIN
Bet: WIN
2. Apex Star – 15/2 with Bet365
Jockey: Taylor Fisher | Trainer: William Knight | Form: 337203 | Rating: 68 | Topspeed: 56
Apex Star looks the each-way value from stall 2, especially in a race where a low draw could be worth plenty. He was back on the podium last time with a solid third, and that came after a sequence of runs showing he is competitive at this sort of level without quite getting his head in front. The rating of 68 asks a question, but not an impossible one, and his profile is a lot more dependable than several of these bigger prices. William Knight’s runner looks the type to travel well and keep finding, and 15/2 is fair enough for an each-way punt with four places on offer. Bet: EACH-WAY
Bet: EACH-WAY
Betting Strategy
Pennine Way is the sensible win play given his recent second and a draw that should let him race prominently without burning petrol. Apex Star is the each-way alternative at a more attractive price from a similarly useful low berth. The obvious danger is Royal County Glory, while Fuseboard has to be respected after winning last time despite a less-than-ideal draw.

17:01 – Download The At The Races App Fillies’ Handicap
Race Details: 5f | Class 5 | Going: Standard (Polytrack) | | flat
This looks a pretty workable little 5f handicap rather than a deep one, with the market understandably centring on the solid, in-form trio of Queen Sana, Over Spiced and Sea Her Excel. Queen Sana brings the strongest recent profile in terms of consistency and gets in here off 78, while Over Spiced has been knocking loudly on the door without quite getting her head in front. Sea Her Excel arrives off a win and is the one with a bit of momentum. Fiorella Princess is capable of getting involved if things drop right, but others such as Independent Expert and Whizzy Dizzy need a fair bit more. In a small field around Lingfield, early speed and a clean trip will count for plenty, so this is no penalty kick, but it doesn’t look an impossible puzzle either.
Top Selections
1. Queen Sana – 3/1 with Bet365
Jockey: Jason Watson | Trainer: Ollie Sangster | Form: 222624 | Rating: 78 | Topspeed:
Queen Sana is becoming expensive to follow if you’ve been with her lately, but there’s no getting away from how strong her claims are in this company. That string of placed efforts tells its own story and she hasn’t been running in bad races for the grade. The mark of 78 asks a question, but she’s only a 3yo and still looks well capable of winning a race like this if getting the breaks. Stall 2 should suit a filly with tactical speed, and Jason Watson is a positive booking in a sharp 5f like this. At 3/1 she’s no giveaway, but she’s still the percentage call. End with a straightforward win angle.
Bet: WIN
2. Fiorella Princess – 5/1 with Paddy Power
Jockey: Charles Bishop | Trainer: Robert Cowell | Form: -25326 | Rating: 74 | Topspeed: 62
Fiorella Princess makes more each-way appeal than some of the others because she has enough pace for this test and her overall profile is a bit more reliable than the bigger prices. Robert Cowell’s sprinters always demand respect in races like this, and although her latest sixth wasn’t spectacular, it wasn’t the sort of run that rules out a bounce back here. Her earlier placed efforts fit nicely in a Class 5 of this nature, and an opening from stall 7 is manageable if Bishop can get her organised early. At 5/1, she looks the sensible each-way punt against a favourite who has had plenty of chances.
Bet: EACH-WAY
Betting Strategy
Queen Sana is the win play based on the best recent form and the likelihood that this race sets up well for her. Fiorella Princess is the each-way alternative at a fair enough price in an eight-runner field. Over Spiced is the obvious danger after a sequence of solid efforts, while Sea Her Excel is respected as the progressive last-time-out winner.
