Ludlow Racing Tips (Thursday 26 February 2026)
It’s a six race card at Ludlow on Thursday and Andrew’s best bet on the card runs in the second race at 2.07pm.
2.07 Ludlow – Minella Blueway (1pt win – 9/2 Sky Bet, Paddy Power)
Minella Blueway didn’t enjoy the left-handed track at Plumpton last time, jumping out to his right throughout and doing well to finish just a length and a half behind the winner. Evan Williams’ eight-year-old hasn’t had many opportunities to race in this direction and will appreciate the return to Ludlow for the first time since his 16-length romp in this race last year.
Taunton Racing Tips (Thursday 26 February 2026)
There’s another six races over the sticks at Taunton, but you have to wait until the 4.01pm race for Andrew’s two selection in the same race.
4.01 Taunton – Ede‘Iffs Rock (0.5pt win – 15/2 generally) & Lazy Sunday (0.5pt e/w – 16/1 generally)
Ede’Iffs Rock, winner of this 2m7f handicap chase 12 months ago, trailed home 49 lengths behind the winner when fifth to Rodney at Hereford last time but it’s safe to ignore that effort. Kathy Turner’s mare was one of several who put pace to the race that day and helped to set it up for those ridden patiently, with the winner (“held up in rear”), runner-up (“held up in rear”) and fourth (“held up in rear”) all coming from the back. She could face pressure for the early lead again today but the soft ground suits and she’s worth a small interest.
Of greater interest, and available at a much bigger price, is veteran Lazy Sunday. Richard Mitford-Slade’s mare ran with credit on her reappearance at Ffos Las in early November, finishing second at 9-1, and her subsequent modest Warwick fourth is excusable as she made a couple of jumping errors and was ridden patiently on that pace-favouring track. She tends to come to hand in the latter stages of the peak jumps season and her full record in February/March stands at 244111F521 (4-10) for a profit of £9.75 to a £1 level stake at SP.
