2025 Morgiana Hurdle Racecard
Now a two-time Mares’ Hurdle heroine, Lossiemouth is the standout name in what could be a significant season for her. With stablemate State Man out, this may be the first race en route to the Champion Hurdle or a hat-trick in the mares’ race. Her chief danger this weekend could prove to be another Willie Mullins-trained runner in Irancy, who concluded last season with a barnstorming Grade 1 novice success at Punchestown in which he swept aside both Kopek Des Bordes and Salvator Mundi. Galway Hurdle winner Ndaawi takes part in his first top level event over obstacles for Gordon Elliott, while the improving Glen Kiln completes the line-up for David Harry Kelly in colours made famous by the admirable Limestone Lad.

Morgiana Hurdle Tips
Her reappearance coming here as opposed to in the 2m4f Hatton’s Grace Hurdle, which she won emphatically last year, suggests LOSSIEMOUTH may well be going down the Champion Hurdle route. Given how impressive she has been first time out for the last two seasons, she should have her rivals’ measure, although a stern test may well come from stablemate Irancy, who easily caused an upset when landing the Grade 1 novice event over course and distance at Punchestown. Slight question marks about the way that race panned out ensure he is only second choice, but he can complete a Mullins forecast ahead of the improving Glen Kiln.
