Seven meetings take place on a much cooler Tuesday than the previous week. Flat and jumps racing takes place across the country for fans of both codes.
Joe Napier is on hand with our lucky 15 tips for Tuesday. He has two selections apiece from Musselburgh and Salisbury.
Musselburgh Racing Tips (Tuesday 30 June)
A class 3 1m1f handicap headlines Musselburgh’s card on Tuesday across seven races. We have a tip in that race, and one other handicap north of the border.
3.00 Musselburgh – Haayimm (1pt win – )
The unexposed Haayimm is being incrementally stepped up in distance, which can suit at Musselburgh. He will probably prove a middle distance horse on breeding and results so far. After a placed debut at two, he beat a 1/8 shot on return at Pontefract, the pair putting a wide margin between themselves and the third. The son of Gleneagles was then a neck second in a three-runner novice event at Hamilton, but that was a class 2 race, with the entirety of that trio likely good horses. The winner has since run really well at Royal Ascot off 97. With that in mind, Haayimm’s mark of 95 in a weaker race and over a more suitable distance should be factors which see him go very close here.
4.00 Musselburgh – The Gay Blade (1pt win – )
Having never been rated higher than 63, the current form of The Gay Blade is startling. However, Jim Golide looks to have unlocked something, as the seven-year-old seeks a four-timer. He won three times on the all-weather between February and April, then finished second over course and distance returned to turf. Since then, the magic has happened, starting with two wins at Carlisle. He rose to a career high mark of 65 as a result of the latter of those wins. However, the ball kept rolling when he won at Ayr last week. That was on soft ground, but his previous two wins were on good. It would be difficult to count him out in this form, with the renaissance set to continue.
Salisbury Racing Tips (Tuesday 30 June)
Seven races take place at Salisbury too, with one of our selections running in class 2 company at the meeting.
3.07 Salisbury – Treasurer (1pt win – 9/2)
There are three horses with wins to their credit already in this class 2 novice event. Instead though, Treasurer could prove the star in this line-up. The Amo Racing colt finished a respectable fourth on debut at Nottingham at the end of May. He was green that day and still managed to stay on strongly after meeting trouble en route. The winner showed little at Royal Ascot, but the third has won since, while Treasurer himself went to the royal meeting too. Charlie Fellowes’ charge ran a mighty race, finishing second of his group and 12th overall in the Coventry Stakes. A 150/1 shot that day, he will not be that price here. The majority of his siblings are winners and he will undoubtedly join them at some stage.
3.37 Salisbury – Addison Grey (1pt win – 9/4)
William Haggas’ Another Abbot is an obvious danger after a victory, but he only scraped home last time out and is 6lb higher. One rival who has continually knocked on the door is Addison Grey. Clive Cox’s grey beat the very useful Binhareer at Newmarket last season, that runner-up now rated 10lb higher. Since then, frustration has kicked in for connections. He was well-held at Doncaster to conclude 2025, but after a gelding operation, he was a head second on return back at Town Moore. He then bumped into Wokingham winner Double Rush and was runner-up to him. For those starts he went up 2lb and got going too late at Newbury latest. There is still a win in him from this rating of 94 though and he steps down in class here. The four-year-old can therefore defy top-weight.
