Fresh from tipping up a 12/1 winner at Cheltenham on Saturday, our top tipster Andrew Mount is back with his best bets for Sunday 25 January.
He heads to Naas and Sedgefield for his two best bets of the day, as he looks to continue his fine tipping form.
Naas Racing Tips (Sunday 25 January 2026)
Some quality National Hunt racing takes place during the afternoon card at Naas, with a brace of Grade 3 races featuring on the card. Andrew’s best bet of the day at the Irish track runs in the 3.25pm race.
3.25 Naas – Eagle Fang (0.5pt win – 11/1 William Hill, 10/1 general)
I opposed at Eagle Fang at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day as the good ground was against him and, while his stamina for 3m is not assured, I want to bet him to very small stakes now that he has his preferred underfoot conditions. He wasn’t disgraced on his sole previous start at this trip, finishing nine lengths behind Crambo in the 2024 renewal of the Grade 1 Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot and he’s one from one at this left-handed venue. Willie Mullins’ record in this race (he’s landed five of the nine runnings since it was reduced from Grade 2 to Grade 3 status) entitles Argento Boy to respect but he needs to prove that he can cope left-handed. His record this way round reads 0P07 (0-4), beating only 27.3% of his rivals, compared to 16215F1 (3-7) right-handed, beating almost 70% of his opponents.
Sedgefield Racing Tips (Sunday 25 January 2026)
The sole fixture on UK soil comes in the 3.40pm race and Andrew opts for a Dan Skelton-trained runner that can land the prize.
3.40 Sedgefield – Delgany Deadline (1pt win – 100/30 Sky Bet, Paddy Power)
Dan Skelton has a solid record when using first time cheekpieces on his chasers, scoring with 22 of the 109 qualifiers (20.2% strike-rate) for a profit of £24.49 to a £1 level stake at SP (+£37.51 at Betfair SP after 2% commission). In Class 2 or lower company only, the score becomes 22 from 90 (+£43.49 at SP, +£56.51 at BSP). Delgany Deadline is no star, but he plodded on into a modest third at Market Rasen on Boxing Day and he remains open to improvement on only his second chase outing.
