Sent off favourite on debut at Newcastle last time out, THUNDER EARTHLIGHT is expected to build on that fourth placed finish and Karl Burke’s charge can storm to victory in the 4:20pm race. Having edged right at the start she began to get the message in the closing stages and she’s sure to benefit hugely from that experience. The newcomer Rogue Allegiance is a danger, but it’s the Burke filly that can land this prize.

Craig Lidster’s THE CHILDE OF HALE took a massive step forward when third at Newcastle last time out having finished down the field on debut at York in June and the two-year-old can build on the pair of those efforts and land victory in this 4:50pm race. Held up in rear, he made steady progress in the closing stages of that event and if he can be ridden more prominently here then he has the chance of breaking his duck.

Roger Varian’s DRAGON ICON won his first two career starts, but he’s failed to kick on from those efforts in recent outings. However, he’s been falling down the handicap and lines up in the 5:20pm contest over 1m 6y off a mark of 88. Unable to land a blow on the turf at Sandown last time out, the four-year-old will relish a return to the all-weather and he can bounce back to form after a break and bag success in this hugely tough betting heat.
