We head to Newcastle’s all-weather evening fixture on Tuesday evening as we provide some through-the-card Newcastle tips in the meeting, which is sponsored by BetUK & BetMGM. 4.24pm – Build Your Acca With BetUK Handicap
David O’Meara’s CHURCHELLA has been in excellent form of late winning two of her last four outings and she can strike gold again in the opening contest at 4.24pm. A winner over 1m 6f at Chelmsford two starts ago off a mark of 60, the four-year-old then failed to see out the 2m trip at Southwell last week, so a drop back to 1m 4f 98y here should see her produce her best. She has a course and distance win to her name and now only 3lbs higher than her last winning mark she has to be respected.
4.58pm – Best Racing Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Apprentice Handicap
Some in-form contenders line up in the 4.58pm contest and the likes of Possible Ambition and Pallas Lord line up on the back of wins and have to be respected. However, it’s MARTIN’S BRIG that could offer more value for punters as he was last seen finishing a creditable second over 7f at Newcastle last time out and the step up to a mile should suit. He’s been upped 1lb for that run, but will have Rhys Elliott taking 7lbs off in this event, so he’s lining up off a really attractive mark and he could land the prize with aplomb.
5.30pm – Stay Golden With BetMGM Safer Gambling Maiden Stakes
There looks a pretty mediocre maiden event third on the card with several of these contenders sure to be waiting to head into the handicap sphere, but one that could have some ability is Kevin Ryan’s WELCOME DREAM, who should prove popular in the betting. Winless in four starts, the Night Of Thunder gelding has been placed in three of those efforts and was a creditable third on his last outing at Newcastle. With notable experience under his belt he could just land the win in a race that could see the betting offer guidance.
6.00pm – Best Racing Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Handicap
Two wins at the end of December at Newcastle saw ENOLA GREY rocket up the handicap, but a return to the north east venue for the 6.00pm could see her flourish once again. She was last seen finishing fourth at Wolverhampton off a mark of 75, but she’s been dropped 1lb and is now 5lbs higher than her last winning mark and a quicker gallop here should aid her chances. She will have the burden of top weight, but with Ethan Jones taking off 7lbs then she looks more than capable of figuring at a track she always performs well at.
6.30pm – Find More Big Deals At BetUK Handicap
There’s a hugely competitive 6f handicap at 6.30pm and several lining up will fancy their chance of grabbing victory, but at a price the one to back is Richard Fahey’s SIR MAXI. Out of form of late, the six-year-old will need to recapture his best form, but he’s only 1lb higher than his last success, which incidentally came at Newcastle, so everything is set fair for a decent run. Dropped 1lb for a recent fifth placed finish, Fahey’s charge has to improve on that effort, but should be an attractive price to score.
7.00pm – Always Gamble Responsibly With BetUK Handicap
George Boughey’s BETTER looked way ahead of the handicapper when romping to an emphatic three-length win in a nursery at Wolverhampton last month and the progressive Due Diligence gelding can strike again in this event. He’s been given a huge 11lbs hike for that success, but a mark of 69 still looks within his grasp and with more improvement sure to come then he could well steamroller his rivals once again.
7.30pm – Build Your Acca With BetUK Classified Stakes
Fantasy Navigator and CUBANISTA fought out a close finish nine days ago at Newcastle with the former just getting on top of the latter in the closing stages. The pair do battle again in the finale at the same track on Tuesday, but there could be a different result. Fantasy Navigator will give a bit of weight away to Cubanista in this event and the Olly Williams-trained raider, who will have Billy Loughnane in the saddle, could well reverse the form if he can repeat that recent run.
