A huge field of 23 line up for this year’s renewal and one of the leading protagonists is last year’s winner Lord Melbourne, who will look to retain his crown for Ralph Beckett. StressfreeNovember Handicap Trends
We pick out some of the key trends to look at when trying to find the winner of the November Handicap at Doncaster.
- Only two winning favourites since 1996
- Only one seven-year-old has won in the last 50 years
- Six horses have carried more than 9st to victory since 2000
- Horses that have run over hurdles before have a good record in the race
November Handicap Tips
A winner of this race in fine style last season, LORD MELBOURNE will face a much stiffer task to land the double on Saturday, but Ralph Beckett’s charge looks hugely progressive and has the potential to deliver again. He’s 13lbs higher this time around, but the manner in which he won at Epsom in September suggested there’s plenty more to come and with Jack Dace taking off 5lbs then he has a great chance. Castle Cove has been hugely consistent and can chase him home, while Stressfree is a quality performer on his day and can complete the 1-2-3.
