Five meetings take place in the UK & Ireland on Thursday 11 December, with the rearranged National Hunt fixture at Punchestown one of the highlights, along with a decent card at Warwick as well.
Our in-house tipster Steve Chambers has taken a look at those two jumps fixtures and picked out his GG Lucky 15 tips for Wednesday’s horse racing.
Punchestown Racing Tips (Thursday 11 December 2025)
It’s a really early start at Punchestown with the first of their eight races starting at 11.50am, with the card going right through until 3.23pm. Check out our brace of tips to complete Tuesday’s Lucky 15 selections.
1.20 Punchestown – Neon Diamond (1pt win – 16/1)
Henry De Bromhead’s Echoing Silence has looked hugely impressive during her two wins on the track, but she’s awfully short for the 1.20pm at Punchestown, and there could be some value elsewhere. The one that stands out in this listed event that could cause an upset is Gordon Elliott’s Neon Diamond, who is available at double-figured odds, at the time of writing. A facile nine-length winner at Killarney two starts ago, she than ran no sort of race when last of four at Downpatrick in August, but she’s been freshened up in that time, and can bounce back here. She will need to replicate that Killarney run, but the Elliott yard are beginning to fire in the winners with notable regularity, so she has to be considered.
2.20 Punchestown – Charlus (1pt win – 5/2)
Willie Mullins will unleash a three-pronged attack on the 2.20pm race and you have to respect the choice of stable jockey and he’s opted to side with Charlus, who returns to the jumping sphere after a spin on the level. 12th beyond stablemate Poniros in the Triumph Hurdle, he was also seen finishing way down the field in the Ebor Handicap at York a few months ago, so has some big field experience. This is sure to be much calmer waters and whilst he failed to sparkle at Leopardstown last time out on the flat, he could enjoy the switch to obstacles and he could be much the best of this field going forward.
3.23 Punchestown – Sallap (1pt win – 11/2)
A winner at Clonmel at the start of October off a mark of 73, Sam Curling’s Sallap then appeared to be following that success up with another victory a few weeks later at Thurles, but fell at the final hurdle when in front. That excellent run came off a mark of 83, so the 2lbs rise to a figure of 85 for Thursday’s contest at 3.23pm is more than fair. He will need to continue on an upward curve in what looks a competitive-looking finale, but he is still open to more improvement over timber, and providing that recent tumble hasn’t knocked his confidence then he can land this curtain-closer in style.
Warwick Racing Tips (Thursday 11 December 2025)
Seven races make up Warwick’s card on Wednesday afternoon, with three hurdle races, three chases and a National Hunt Flat race to finish at 3.25pm. We complete our Lucky 15 with a sole selection at the track in the 1.25pm contest.
1.25 Warwick – Chuggy (1pt win – 15/8)
Dan Skelton’s Chuggy led his rivals a merry dance the last time he visited Warwick racecourse last month, as a fine front-running display saw him obliterate his rivals by eight lengths. That was his second win on the bounce and the handicapper has certainly not missed him, as he’s been given a 9lb bump for that win in November. However, a return to a track he excels at could bring on more success, and if he can get into a fine jumping routine again, like he did last time, then he could well have a few of his rivals struggling and with the Skelton team in such red-hot form it’s hard to see him not landing the hat-trick.
