Royal Ascot Day 4 Trends 2026: Dissecting Friday at the royal meeting

Day 4 at Royal Ascot sees four Group races including two Group 1s with both the Commonwealth Cup and the Coronation Stakes holding that title.

As we move into the second half of the week, I’ve reviewed the last ten runnings of each race on the Friday card to see what it typically takes to land these contests.

Albany Stakes

  • ALL of the last 10 winners won last time out
  • 8 of the last 10 winners were unbeaten
  • 8 of the last 10 winners were NOT the favourite
  • 8 of the last 10 winners last ran between 27 and 34 days ago
  • The last 5 winners have been drawn no higher than stall 8 but the 5 prior were in 13-16
