4.30 Salisbury – Felicitas (1pt win – 13/8)
Only two runners in the 1m2f Listed Upavon Fillies’ Stakes – Felicitas and Alla Stella – have matched or exceeded the par Proform speed figure for a race of this nature and, with the last-named in the habit of finding one too good in her races since landing a fillies’ novice contest at Kempton back in July 2024, strong preference is for Ed Walker’s class-dropper. The three-year-old daughter of Teofilo found Group 1 company far too hot in the French Oaks at Chantilly win mid-June when we last saw her, finishing a 14-1 seventh of 11 behind Diamond Necklace, but her three runs below that level have returned form figures of 112 (2-3), with the sole defeat by just three-quarters of length in Group 3 company at York.
Beverley Racing Tips (Wednesday 12 August 2026)
All six races at Beverley have attracted eight or more runners on Wednesday, with five double-figure fields. The competitive action has led Andrew to put up a tip on the card.
4.45 Beverley – Lamlash Bay (1pt win – 10/1)
Lamlash Bay could only finish fifth of eight at Doncaster on his latest assignment, but he had excuses. The Mick and David Easterby-trained three-year-old made the running on the near side rail on a day all the winners were attacking late/wide down the middle of the track. The son of Harry Angel made all in a 6f handicap at Ripon on his penultimate start and, while today’s 5f trip is unknown territory, he’s well to drawn to attack in stall 1 and could provehard to pass.
