5.30pm – Boost Your Acca At BetMGM Novice Stakes
Karl Burke’s NIGHT RAIDER produced a stunning debut when winning at Southwell by nine lengths back in December and the Dark Angel colt should prove far too good for his rivals in the opening race at 5.30pm and can make it two wins from two. Such is the regard he’s held in, he holds an entry for the QIPCO 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, so if he can win this in style then who’s to say he can’t line up in the first Classic of the season in a few weeks time?
6.00pm – BetUK. Home Of The Acca Handicap
Mick Appleby’s MEHMO has been struggling to get his head in front of late, but has been running adequately in recent times and a return to Southwell could see him return to winning ways. A former course-and-distance winner, he’s only 3lbs higher than his last winning mark and having won three times last year he’s shown he can produce the goods on a going day. This is a trappy contest, but off bottom weight he could well be the one to beat here.
6.30pm – Build Your Acca With BetUK Handicap
With two wins over hurdles from her last two outings, Ben Brookhouse’s MY CHIQUITA is a fascinating runner returning to the Flat in the 6.30pm and he can continue his winning ways and land the hat-trick. Victories at Sedgefield and Wetherby see the five-year-old daughter of Postponed line up in this staying contest in red-hot form and she lines up off 68. Third off that mark on her last run on the level, Brookhouse’s mare could have been given a huge confidence boost by her hurdling exploits and can land this prize with aplomb.
7.00pm – BetUK. It’s Where The UK Bets Handicap
Simon & Ed Crisford’s LISEO was a winner at Kempton three outings ago, but has since struggled to build on that effort. However, the slight drop in trip for this contest could well be the making of him, as he just struggled to see out the finish over 1m 4f on his last two starts, so Wednesday’s trip over a furlong less should see him get close. The likes of Isle Of Sark and Wind Your Neck In will be notable dangers, but it’s the Crisford charge that can notch up a second win from his last four runs.
7.30pm – Win 2,000,000 With BetMGM’s Golden Goals Handicap
DAVID’S DIVA failed to land the four-timer last time out when fourth at Southwell, but the Master Carpenter filly has been given a little break and that could well do her the world of good and she can star here. She was a winner off a mark of 60 at Southwell back in December and is now rated 10lbs higher and a mark of 70 still looks feasible. She has shown a great attitude and while she disappointed last time out that was on the back of a win ten days previous. If she’s back to her best after a few weeks off then she can go in again for Rod Millman.
8.00pm – Always Gamble Responsibly With BetUK Handicap
It could prove to be a profitable evening for the Millman team, as not only does David’s Diva stand a chance in the 7.30pm race they have a leading contender in the shape of MISS MOONSHINE in the 8.00pm. The four-year-old has not been out the first four in her last six outings and while that has only produced one win she can go close here. Only 3lbs higher than her last winning mark, she is sure to run a solid race and on her first trip to Southwell she can land the penultimate race of the night.
8.30pm – Best Racing Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Handicap
James Tate’s ENDLESS POWER will have the burden of top weight in the final race of the evening, but he was an impressive winner last time out and a 4lbs rise may not stop him from going in again. The four-year-old was a head winner at Wolverhampton his last outing, as he stormed home to lead in the final strides and he looks like he could eventually turn into a 90-rated horse at some point, so Wednesday’s mark of 84 looks attractive.
