Stratford & Perth Tips - Joe Napier's Lucky 15 Tips for Sunday 12 July

Turf racing has a day off in flat terms on Sunday. The two meetings in Britain both host jumps action, with two cards simultaneously in Ireland.

GG tipster Joe Napier sticks to home shores for our Sunday Lucky 15 tips. He has two tips each from Perth and Stratford.

Stratford Racing Tips (Sunday 12 July)

Seven races take place at Stratford on Sunday, with Dan Skelton sending a host of runners. We have two tips on the card, including one for the champion trainer.

2.25 Stratford – Brinoywells (1pt win – )

Son Of Tyran is one of many Dan Skelton runners who could be primes for a big day at Stratford. His last run was concerning though and Brionywells looks likelier to bounce back. The daughter of Jack Hobbs won two in a row to start this summer before a lesser run at Market Rasen. However, that race came just eight days after her previous victory at Uttoxeter. Given a month off to fresh up since, the manner of her two earlier victories hinted that she still has at least another win in her while climbing the ratings.

5.20 Stratford – Miss Kassiopi (1pt win – )

Another top-weight looks a likely winner in the finale and this one is trained by Dan Skelton. Miss Kassiopi has run twice for Skelton since joining from Richard Bandey in late May. Immediately made favourite at Hexham, she finished a narrowly-beaten second. Two weeks later, she made amends at Newton Abbot in a six-runner field at odds-on. She did not set the world alight in winning that day, but possibly idled in front. The further step back in distance looks a good move, as she travelled well for that win over 2m5½f and should have no issue seeing out the trip.

Perth Racing Tips (Sunday 12 July)

Perth’s meeting includes class 3 action on Sunday afternoon. We have two tips at the Scottish track.

3.16 Perth – Atlantic City (1pt win – )

In three runs for Olly Murphy, Atlantic City is yet to finish out of the first two. She was runner-up on debut at Haydock before a handicap debut win over course and distance. That saw her go up 5lb, off which she could easily have won at Aintree but for hitting the second last. That put her on the back foot enough that she could not get to the winner. She saw out her race well though and a further 2lb rise is lenient. She can record a second victory to continue on the up.

3.51 Perth – Statuario (1pt win – )

The 11-year-old Statuario has run two big races in 2026 for Mickey Bowen. Both have come over track and trip, with a dead-heat against the talented American Mike the first of those. Up 3lb, he was then fourth in the Perth Gold Cup, a class 2 handicap. He steps back down in class and drops 1lb to a mark of 131. That is 2lb higher than his dead-heat winning mark, but this looks a far easier assignment. The class act in the field, he is in form and can bely his advancing years.
