There are seven race meetings on Friday across the UK and Ireland, with lots of action for punters to get stuck into. Six flat cards and a sole jumps meeting ensure there is something for everyone as the weekend approaches.

Thirsk Racing Tips (Friday 7 August)
Conditions look set for a glorious afternoon at Thirsk on Friday. Three of our four Lucky 15 tips run at the Yorkshire track’s six-race card.
3.10 Thirsk – Gerry’s Darling (1pt win – )
This looks between the two last time out winners with Gerry’s Darling preferred to Bymiddaytomorrow. The son of Palace Pier showed little on his first two starts, but improved to be second at Redcar in mid-July. He stepped right forward again at Musselburgh last week though, bolting up by six-and-a-half lengths. He receives a 6lb penalty for that maiden success, but the handicapper may well have rated him higher. The manner of his improvement in those last two races has been impressive and he can quickly bring up a double.
3.40 Azuinthejungle (1pt win – )
Instead of a double, it is a hat-trick which Azuinthejungle is seeking for NIgel Tinkler. The Langton yard are in good nick, with two winners on Monday across the cards and five of their last seven runners in the frame. The selection has thrived since returned to turf in July. He was second at Hamilton before victories at Ayr and Beverley. His combined penalty for those two wins has been 8lb. He has seen his races out well in that time despite racing awkwardly, so while he carries a 5lb penalty here, the suspicion is there is more to come when he is more firmly pressed.
4.10 Thirsk – Sudu (1pt win – )
Though he has been off the track for more than a year, Sudu could be the answer in the Thirsk feature. None of his rivals convince on recent form and Roger Varian’s charge is unexposed. The four-year-old has only raced six times, with his one win coming in rampant fashion at Epsom last July. he had previously finished a distinctly eyecatching fourth at Newbury after 110 days off when repeatedly without a clear run. He did not follow up his Epsom win at Glorious Goodwood a year ago. However, that was a much stronger race and he may well have returned with an issue given his absence since. He has something to prove in first-time headgear, but so do all of his opponents.
Haydock Racing Tips (Friday 7 August)
Haydock also host a six-race meeting, with our tip coming in the feature class 3 nursery in the middle of the card.
6.53 Haydock – Casino Star (1pt win – )
The form of Casino Star’s seconds at Hamilton have been very well advertised and a first win awaits. The Cotai Glory colt was runner-up on debut behind subsequent Coventry third Royal Heritage at the Scottish track. He was lacklustre at York when favourite to go one better next time out. Returned to Hamilton though, he was second again, this time to Hell Of A Spin, who outran 66/1 odds to be third in Glorious Goodwood’s Group 3 Molecomb Stakes. Casino Star was only a neck behind him last time and even though that was in receipt of 5lb, that form should be good enough for him to emerge from the bottom of the handicap in this nursery.
