Uttoxeter Racing Tips - Andrew Mount's Best Bets for Tuesday 9 December

Uttoxeter Racing Tips - Andrew Mount's Best Bets for Tuesday 9 December

After landing a winner to kick off the week on Monday, Andrew is back on Tuesday 9 December, as he looks to continue the winning streak. His two selections both feature at the National Hunt fixture at Uttoxeter racecourse.

Tuesday’s cards feature some competitive across the UK & Ireland, but it’s Uttoxeter’s six-race card that Andrew focuses on and you can check out his selections here.

Uttoxeter Racing Tips (Tuesday 9 December 2025)

Six races begin at 1.00pm and Andrew Mount’s best bets run in the 1.30pm and 2.30pm races, as he looks to land the double on Tuesday.

1.30 Uttoxeter – Carismatic Soldier (1pt win – 6/5 bet365)

Carismatic Soldier signed off last season with a modest third at Warwick but that run might have come too soon after his hard-fought heavy-ground Chepstow success. Olly Murphy’s six-year-old caught the eye on his reappearance at Wetherby last month, keeping on well after becoming outpaced when third to Glen Road. The winner followed up off a 6lb higher mark on Sunday and the three-length runner-up One Eye On Vegas went one better at Leicester last week. Bridge North, the 31-length eighth in that 2m5.5f handicap hurdle, found only one too good when a 33-1 shot at Southwell last week and the form looks rock solid for a 0-125 contest. Today’s step up to 2m7.5f is likely to suit in this conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle and his in-form handler has a good recent record in these races, scoring with 25 of his 126 such runners (19.8% strike-rate) since racing resumed after Covid-19 in June 2020. Those with one of the top three last time out speed figures (according to Proform’s ratings) were 16 from 47 (34%) for a profit of £28.73 to a £1 level stake at SP. Carismatic Soldier has the second-best last time out figure today.

2.30 Uttoxeter – Sole Solution (1pt win – 5/2 bet365)

Sole Solution never looked happy on the right-handed track when 11-10 favourite for a 2m5.5f novices’ hurdle at Hereford on his penultimate start (January 15th), jumping and hanging to his left, but still won by just over three lengths. Venetia Williams’ seven-year-old followed up at another right-handed venue, scoring narrowly in a 2m4f handicap hurdle on heavy ground at Sandown, and should have plenty more to offer this term, especially now switched to fences for the first time and returned to a left-handed track. His full record now reads 116211 (4-6), improving to 11211 (4-5) on ground judged by Proform to be soft or heavy.
