Four horse racing fixtures take place on Wednesday 25 February, but our GG Lucky 15 tips for the day focus on the National Hunt meetings at Wincanton and Bangor.
Our in-house tipster Steve Chambers takes a look at the two jumping cards and picks out his four best bets.
Wincanton Racing Tips (Wednesday 25 February 2026)
There are seven races at Wincanton with a 1.50pm start. Three hurdles races, three chases and a bumper make up the card. Check out our two best bets here.
2.50 Wincanton – The Long Point (1pt win – Evens)
Emma Lavelle’s The Long Point won at the third time of asking over fences last time out at Doncaster and the seven-year-old looks capable of going in again in the 2.50pm contest. Given a 3lbs rise by the handicapper for a three-and-three-quarter length win, Lavelle’s charge looks more than capable of delivering again. He enjoyed the soft conditions that day, so should have no problem with the rain-softened ground on Wednesday. His four rivals have struggled for success this season, so The Long Point looks the solid option.
3.20 Wincanton – Dirty Den (1pt win – 9/2)
A poor performance at Wincanton back in December may have worried Syd Hosie, but he put the hood back on Dirty Den last time at Plumpton and he landed victory. He will look to carry top weight to victory in the 3.20pm on Wednesday, and can show a much better display at the track this time around. The hood remains on, which is a huge positive and off 114 he can be competitive. Paddy Hanlon will take a valuable 5lbs off him here, which is another notable plus point. He showed a longer trip aided last time out, so he looks a leading player here.
Bangor Racing Tips (Wednesday 25 February 2026)
It’s a 2pm start for Bangor’s National Hunt card on Wednesday afternoon, where they will host seven races. Our two best bets are below, which includes a pick in the North Wales National at 4pm.
2.30 Bangor – Harry Lowes (1pt win – 6/5)
Dan Skelton’s Harry Lowes contested a competitive handicap hurdle at Windsor last time out, but could only finish fifth. However, he would’ve likely finished closer had he not got into a barging match in the closing stages of that race. Short for room, he was forced to check and could only finish in the minor placings. Now, the Skelton team opt to switch away from the handicap sphere, so this could be a huge positive. He was well-backed that day and with more to offer over timber then he can land the 2.30pm event.
4.00 Bangor – Breeze Of Wind (1pt win – 15/2)
A fine runner-up in the Borders National at Kelso back in December, Breeze Of Wind can emulate that run and land victory in the North Wales National Handicap Chase at 4.00pm. He’s been given a notable hike in the weights, but he’s shown he can excel in these real energy-sapping condition. A career high mark of 113 is sure to be tough, but he’s sure to kick on again from that run at Kelso. Sure to be doing all his best work in the closing stages, the nine-year-old can land the prize here.
