Wincanton Racing Tips (Wednesday 25 February 2026)
Seven races take place at Wincanton, with a 1.50pm start, but you have to wait until the 3.50pm contest for Andrew’s best bet on the card.
3.50 Wincanton – Flash Gorcombe (2pt win – 3/1 generally)
Flash Gorcombe bombed out at Exeter last time but that was in Class 3 company, and he drops two notches to Class 5 level this afternoon. Robert Walford’s nine-year-old performs best in the second half of the season and his full record from January to April stands at 5811132118155586 (6-16) for a profit of £5.99 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 2.67, A/E = 2.24). In Class 5 company only, those figures improve to 58111211 (5-8) for a profit of £9.66 (expected winners = 1.77, A/E = 2.83).
Lingfield Racing Tips (Wednesday 25 February 2026)
Eight races take place on the all-weather at Lingfield, and yet again you have to wait for the end of the meeting for Andrew’s best bet.
4.42 Lingfield – Watermelon Sugar (1pt win – 2/1 bet365, 7-4 generally)
Watermelon Sugar kept on well to finish a close second over course and distance last time, doing best of those to come from off the pace. Chelsea Banham’s seven-year-old earned a sectional timing upgrade for that effort and the form has been boosted by the winner and third, who both scored at the next time of asking. Woodhay Whisper, eighth in that contest, has also won since and the form looks solid. He won over course and distance on his penultimate start, and the booking of Jamie Spencer suggests that he’ll again be ridden patiently, ideal here of late as he’ll likely swoop wide and avoid the ‘dead’ inside rail. His yard’s Class 6 Polytrack runners, who start in the first three in the betting, have a 23 from 78 record (29.5% strike-rate) for a profit of £23.53 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 15.53, A/E = 1.48).
