A whopping nine races take place at Wolverhampton on Monday, but you don’t have to wait long for Andrew’s nap, as he heads to the opening race at 4.25pm for his best bet on the card.
4.25 Wolverhampton – Albert Cee (1.5pt win – 5/2 generally)
The course and distance handicap won by Cargin Bhui on February 6th was run in a fast time and the two and a half-length winner has since followed up at Southwell.
The four-length third, Woodhay Whisper, went two places better when upped to Class 5 level here next time to give the form another boost and the only two other runners from that 0-65 contest that have been out since both acquitted themselves well – seventh-placed Sonic Si, beaten by nine lengths, finished a close-up 33-1 fourth over the same track and trip ten days later, while Punchbowl Flyer, who trailed home 24 lengths behind the winner in a 50-1 last of ten, was only beaten by three lengths when a 28-1 fourth in a Class 5 course and distance handicap next time.
Woodhay Whisper lines up again here but the bet is Albert Cee, who was a couple of lengths in front of him when chasing hiem Cargin Bhui. That took his record on Tapeta to 312 (2-3) and he’s better berthed than his old rival (stall 2 versus stall 10)
