4:10 Wolverhampton – Build Your Acca With BetUK Handicap (Div I)
The opener looks like it’ll have a hot favourite in BACK TOMORROW, which is exactly what you should do with this horse. Richard Spencer’s charge has really come into her own in handicaps and there looks to be a fair bit more to come yet.
A daughter of the yard’s Coventry Stakes winner Rajasinghe, she has raced twice on a Tapeta surface and won on both occasions at Southwell. She was a decent second in between at Kempton, but her form on this exact surface is the standout, and she should still be well-in off a mark of 65 here, just 4lb higher than for her victory at the end of January.

4:40 Wolverhampton – Build Your Acca With BetUK Handicap (Div II)
Given the selection in the first, it is only fair that we take a kind look at the form of REVOLUCION, who was third to Back Tomorrow on his previous start. However, he was also a course and distance winner as recently as December and could well have more yet to offer from his current mark.
The key to his comfortable success here four starts back was that he settled well, something he has failed to do in recent starts. That said, his keenness only saw him beaten 1½ lengths last time, and he has a draw in stall 3 that should get him some early cover. If all goes to plan, he should feature in the finish.

5:10 Wolverhampton – Win £2,000,000 With BetMGM’s Golden Goals Handicap
This shouldn’t take a great deal of winning, albeit it is the type of race for a surprise to be sprung given its low quality. The top two on the shortlist are Moe’s Legacy given his recent win and SOUTHBANK, with preference for the latter to step up on what he has shown so far.
His trainer and jockey are in good form, and given he was a E190,000 purchase as a yearling, better things were clearly expected with Joseph O’Brien than what actually transpired. Nevertheless, he is well-bred, showed signs of improvement last time and might improve for having been gelded in the interim.

5:45 Wolverhampton – BetUK. It’s Where The UK Bets Restricted Novice Stakes
Though Trojan Storm has gone close on both occasions he has met a racecourse, there is enough evidence to suggest ALRAZEEN can win again for Gay Kelleway. The son of Galileo Gold did a lot wrong at Southwell last time but still managed to repel an odds-on favourite that day.
Running over an extra furlong looks no bad thing on that evidence and the conditions of the race ensure he only has to concede 3lb rather than the usual winners’ penalty of 7lb.

6:15 Wolverhampton – Stay Golden With BetMGM Safer Gambling Handicap
Once more, any number of this field need to step up on anything they have shown previously, but it may be worth placing faith in MR TIBBS, whose yard have had three winners at this venue in the last week.
Their three-year-old beat just one horse home in his first two starts combined, but though he was 13 lengths adrift of the winner latest, he did at least make the frame in finishing third of nine. The fifth that day has recently been given an opening mark of 65, so while that is not wholly representative of his form, the selection’s first handicap rating of 52 looks workable.

6:45 Wolverhampton – Boost Your Acca-Fenwa With BetUK Handicap
The one to catch the eye is DUC DE MORNY on his second run for Tom Clover. The form of Civil Law’s Boxing Day effort is eye-catching, but on a career high mark after a 52-day break, he is worth leaving alone as favourite.
The selection was only ninth of 12 on his British debut, but was competitive enough after losing his way somewhat as a three-year-old in France. That hinted at a revival, and given he placed in a Group 2 as a juvenile, a further drop of 3lb in the weights looks generous.

7:15 Wolverhampton – BetUK. Home Of The Acca-Fenwa Handicap
He is coming off a particularly long lay-off, but MC’TED has gone very well fresh in the past and may be able to gain a first all-weather success here. There is a slight concern about the inexperience of 7lb claimer Alice Bond, but she won’t get many chances with a horse with as many positives as Joseph Parr’s six-year-old.
His best run on the all-weather chase last March at Chelmsford, when beaten less than a length with Bond onboard. He is now 5lb lower, while that effort also came after a 91-day break. Overall, he has made the frame on five of his last seven starts on an artificial surface and rates a sound each-way prospect.

Given his record on the all-weather is far better than on turf, BEAUTY CHOICE may be able to take this step up in trip in his stride. He needed every yard of 7f to score at this venue in January, so his yard may well have made the right call to go beyond 1m for the first time.
His previous efforts over 6f were very consistent, but if you take the view that he has needed a different trip, then his performances look even more admirable. He is just 2lb higher for his recent success too.

One whose price is too big here is LIGHT UP OUR STARS, who never stood a chance from the rear last time out in a race in which the first three home had led or been close to the pace. It came over course and distance, having been first and second at the same track and trip on his previous two attempts off this mark of 69.
He repeatedly met trouble in running that day too, while he drops back to a class 5 from class 4 company here. Overall, his record in races akin to this one is much stronger than his price suggests.
