Ace Stud have acquired the unbeaten Push The Boat Out to their ever-expanding team and are keen to pitch him in deep.
The Kodi Bear colt was a smart winner at the Curragh on debut, with the race working out well. He then franked that back at the Curragh in the Round Tower Stakes. Albeit off the bridle for some way longer than the others, he came upsides Great Barrier Reef and gamely fended him off.
That looked a particularly deep renewal of the race, and Ace Stud’s were evidently impressed. Speaking to the Press Association, via Racing TV, Ace Studs’ racing and bloodstock manager Paul Curran said: “He looks a very exciting sort. We’ve been keeping a close eye on him since winning his maiden in such exciting fashion.
“The form around him is incredible and he’s probably one of the best form horses around. He’s relatively unexposed and he’s had two races and two. Among the horses behind him has been the Coventry winner Great Barrier Reef who could be one of Aidan O’Brien’s nicer two-year-olds.
“He’s an exciting colt and we’re looking forward to aiming our guns at the Middle Park. His form pages do all the talking for him. We can’t wait to see him run in our colours and see what he can do.”
Harmonics has a ‘nice chance’ in the Cambridgeshire suggests Paul Curran
It’ll be an important hour for the owners, as they run Harmonics in the Cambridgeshire after the Middle Park. The Lucky Vega colt has progressed with each run in career, latterly finishing third in Group 3 company. He caught the eye at Goodwood, and the drop back into a strongly run handicap may suit.
Curran added: “The Cambridgeshire is the plan and we were happy with his run in the Group Three at Windsor. He ran nicely and he seems to be taking to his racing a little bit better now.
“He can be a bit buzzy and the day he ran at Royal Ascot he ran quite free. But he’s a nice one and hopefully he will have a nice chance in the Cambridgeshire.
“He’s learning every day he goes racing because he runs quite free. The more racing we can get into him the more he will learn what his job is. We’ve got the Middle Park and then the Cambridgeshire back-to-back so hopefully it could be a nice day for us.”
