ROHAAN has home advantage in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes and that could see him emerge victorious over the raiders from Australia and Hong Kong. David Evans’ five year-old loves this course and distance and ‘won’ the race on the far side in the British Champions Sprint Stakes on his latest trip to Berkshire. His full record here reads 110114 (4-6), with the ‘duck egg’ when reportedly running flat in the 2021 British Champions Sprint. He would have needed his comeback run when beating only one home at Salisbury and he’ll be a different proposition on his favoured fast ground today. Stall 10 of 16 is useful on Friday’s evidence.

GOLDEN APOLLO – 1pt e/w (14/1 bet365, 12/1 generally)
Seven of GOLDEN APOLLO’s eight wins have come over today’s 6f trip and he looks interesting at a doube-figure price now cutting back from 7f. Last season, he cut back from 7f to 6f to score at Pontefract in September and his full record when doing this reads 1150333601 (3-10) for a profit of £23.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. He likes this track and is 1lb below his last winning mark. I’ve saved on PAPA COCKTAIL, who never had a prayer from stall 17 at Beverley last time.

MR WAGYU –1pt e/w (20/1 Ladbrokes/Coral, 18/1 generally)
MR WAGYU let his fans down when only ninth of 12 (9-4f) at Haydock last time but wasn’t best drawn, the Quinn yard was quiet at the time, and it was his only poor effort from 32 runs in June/July. Those runs have produced 15 wins and numerous placed efforts, including a 28-1 fourth in this race last year. The stable’s horses are in better form now and stall 18 will be handy on yesterday’s evidence.
