It’s Super Sprint day at Newbury on Saturday and the Tote are guaranteeing £250,000 in the Placepot for it.

Leg 1: 1.15pm
Leg 1 Selections: (2) Chiedozie (7) Infinity Blue (4) Drama
Form is few and far between here with many making their debuts. I’ll chance that Chiedozie‘s two runs will count for plenty in terms of experience and the booking of William Buick.
Of the newcomers I will also add Blue Point colt Infinity Blue in there, along with Drama as it looks a tricky starting affair.
Leg 2: 1.50pm
Leg 2 Selections: (3) Highland Avenue (6) Oviedo
I want to take on the favourite, who was beaten by 25 lengths back from a break last time. I’ll punt Wolferton 4th Highland Avenue who is a consistent type and chance that outsider Oviedo can make enough improvement getting weight all round.

Leg 3 Selections: (11) Nathaniel Greene (6) Novel Legend
4th in the Northumberland plate Nathaniel Greene goes straight in as he’s quite consistent and should be thereabouts in this. Novel Legend is a course and distance scorer who has put together several good races this season.
Leg 4: 3.00pm
Leg 4 Selections: (3) Commanche Falls (1) Garrus
I’m taking the two at the top of the ratings here in Commanche Falls and Garrus. Both ran cracking races last time out and have solid credentials for Placepot purposes.
Leg 5: 3.35pm
Leg 5 Selections: (5) Relief Rally (8) Bobsleigh
I’ll take the two from the top of the betting please, Carol! Relief Rally is a heavy favourite and rightly so having just gone down at Royal Ascot. He might be up to the short price and has to go in the Placepot. I’m also a huge fan of Bobsleigh, who is also well drawn in the high numbers and could go close based on his Epsom exploits.

Leg 6 Selections: (11) Mr Wonderful (5) Free Nation
Richard Hannon knows his onions when it comes to this race – having won two of the last eight and placing several times with his runners. He’s represented by Mr Wonderful who runs for us in the final leg. I will also take the most experienced runner in the field Free Nation as well.
