Aintree Racing Tips — GG Lucky 15 Tips for Friday 10 April 2026

Day two of Aintree’s Grand National Festival will yet again serve up some exciting races on Friday 10 April. With the Topham Handicap Chase over the National fences, along with the likes of the Mildmay Novices’ Chase and Top Novices’ Hurdle two of the Grade 1 highlights then it’s set to be a thriller.

Steve Chambers focuses Friday’s Lucky 15 on the action on Merseyside, so check out his four best bets.

Aintree Racing Tips (Friday 10 April 2026)

Friday’s racing at Aintree kicks off at 1.45pm and goes right through until 5.15pm. Seven races awash with handicaps and Graded events light up the Liverpool card.

1.45 Aintree – William Hill Handicap Hurdle – Favour And Fortune (1pt win – 12/1)

Third in this race last season, Favour And Fortune can go two better in the 2026 renewal. A former Scottish Champion Hurdle hero, Alan King’s charge is only 1lb higher in the handicap this time around. He will have the burden of top weight in this contest, but he’s one that relishes this sort of contest. Last seen running well at Kempton, he bypassed Cheltenham. That could work in his favour and if they go a strong gallop then he could easily cruise into contention turning for home. Several will be involved at the finish, but off 140, Favour And Fortune can prove to be the class act.

2.20 Aintree – William Hill Mildmay Novices’ Chase – Regent’s Stroll (1pt win – 9/2)

Paul Nicholls saddled Caldwell Potter to victory in the Mildmay Novices’ Chase last season, and the Ditcheat handler can reign supreme once again. This time he can land the Grade 1 prize with Regent’s Stroll. Last seen finish third in the Jack Richards at Cheltenham, the seven-year-old can build on that here. Sure to be on the speed from the outset, he’s likely to have some of the better stayers struggling in the middle part of the race. Both Salver and Wendigo have shown stamina is their forte, but whilst they will be staying on they may just fail in their bids to reel in Regent’s Stroll, who can reverse the Cheltenham form with Gold Dancer.

14:20 William Hill Mildmay Novices’ Chase (Grade 1) (GBB Race)

4.05 Aintree – Randox Topham Handicap Chase – Lisnamult Lad (1pt win – 14/1)

Experience around the Grand National course is certainly a positive and Lisnamult Lad showed last year when chasing home Gentleman De Mee in this race that he can deliver the goods. Ian Donoghue’s charge is back for another crack at the event and has to be in with a squeak at double-figured odds. Rated only 3lbs higher, he needs to improve on what he’s shown this year. He’s failed to finish on his last two starts, but this is sure to have been the target. Undoubtedly, Madara is the one to beat after his Cheltenham romp, but Lisnamult Lad should put up a bold bid again.

16:05 Randox Topham Handicap Chase (Premier Handicap) (GBB Race)

4.40 Aintree – Oddschecker Sefton Novices’ Hurdle – No Drama This End (1pt win – 9/2)

Nothing went right for No Drama This End in the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. Forced back from the outset, he continued to find trouble and was eventually pulled up when well fancied. Now looking to get back on a winning thread, the Paul Nicholls-trained raider can bounce back to form with victory in the Sefton Novices’ Hurdle at 4.40pm. New pilot Sam Twiston-Davies will be eager to get him in a positive position from the flag fall, and if he can do just that then he should be tough to beat. Johnny’s Jury won at Cheltenham and is a danger, as is stablemate Talk To The Man. However, if No Drama This End can find the form that saw him win the Challow then he’s the one to beat.
