2.50 Wolverhampton – BLUE HAWAII (2pt win – 9/4 generally)
BLUE HAWAII did this column a favour when successful over 1m6f here last week, clocking a fast time in the process, and can follow up in this 1m4f contest. The likely strong pace will suit this sometimes-keen sort and she’s nicely drawn in stall 4 to get cover.
3.15 Cork – MAGIC CONQUEROR (1pt E/W – 11/2 generally)
MAGIC CONQUEROR is a ten-race maiden, but she impressed me when going down by a little over two lengths in second place at Tramore last time as she raced on the inside rail where the ground was considerably slower (albeit she cut the corner at one stage and found some better ground on the in-field!). Her record in handicap hurdles over 2m4f-2m7f reads 222 (0-3) and she should again be thereabouts. I’ve saved on GLORIOUS SINGER, who also took the ‘swamp’ route when fifth in the same Tramore race as Magic Conqueror.
