1.50 Curragh – DANDYVILLE (1pt E/W – 12/1 Bet365, 11/1 generally)
DANDYVILLE (stall 6 of 25) has proved very consistent since joining in-form Natalia Lupini, recording form figures over 6f of 2111022 (3-7). The five-year-old was a big eyecatcher at Dundalk last time, going down by a nose under a patient ride when it was desperately difficult to come from off the pace (the winner made all). He was only beaten by a nose over course and distance on his penultimate start and is drawn near pace angles Master Matt (stall 8) and Livingston Range (stall 5) on the far side, the place to be in this race in recent years.
5.45 Curragh – TAKE HEART (1pt win – 11/2 generally)
TAKE HEART was a big eyecatcher over course and distance on his penultimate start, doing best of those to come from off the pace when a close-up second of 14. He was ridden closer to the gallop when scoring comfortably at Naas last time and a 6lb rise for that success could underestimate his margin of superiority. He’s drawn wide today but I’m reluctant to let him go unbacked.
