There’s not a great deal I like on a quiet Sunday but TAHMURAS should probably be favourite ahead of Trelawne in this novices’ chase and is worth a small interest. He returned to form with a bang in first-time cheekpieces at Aintree last time on what was also his second run after a wind operation, taking his record below Grade 1 level to 211131 (4-6), improving to 111 (3-3) outside of his seasonal debuts. Trelawne could benefit from the first-time headgear and return to a right-handed track but the Kim Bailey yard is still struggling for winners (one from 40 this year) and he’s behind his main rival on the clock according to Proform’s speed figures. It’s possible that he could bomb out completely and I’ll play KING OF RYHOPE with the selection in the forecast.
