Take your pick from modest, poor or diabolical where Sunday’s racing is concerned and finding a familiar name, let alone a decent bet, is not easy. However, I’m keen to oppose Only Money in this 2m handicap chase, as the 9-4 favourite’s trainer, Chris Gordon, has had plenty of ‘shorties’ disappoint in the past fortnight. There are a couple of interesting chase debutants – General Medrano and Bubble Dubi – but their chance is well covered in the prices and several similar types have been beaten in the previous runnings of this race. ROSE SEA HAS was pulled up at Plumpton in April when we last saw him but he looks the only front-runner, copes well with soft ground and could prove hard to catch. The eight-year-old’s last two seasonal debuts have produced a 20-1 Chepstow second and an 11-2 second on unsuitably fast ground over today’s course and distance.
