This should be run at a sound gallop despite the smallish field (eight run) and the race could be set up perfectly for MOUNTAIN ROAD, who broke the track record when coming late to deny Happy by a neck over 2m here last time. The pair of them pulled almost five lengths clear of the third, Danni California, who was due to run in the 8.30 at Kempton on Wednesday night. Mountain Road’s record in handicaps now reads 221 (2-3), with the first defeat when 33-1 and the other by a nose. The cut back in trip is a slight concern but I think he should be clear favourite.
