BLUEBELL DIVA was a huge eyecatcher at Limerick’s meeting on November 22nd where she finished second at 20-1 despite making the running in the ‘swamp’ on the inside rail. She confirmed the merit of that performance when going one better at Clonmel next time and very nearly followed up when upped in trip to 2m3f and returned to Limerick, staying on strongly into a half-length third of 17. The winner/runner-up sat one-two throughout that day and it was a another performance worthy of an upgrade. Today’s extended 2m4f trip shuld suit and she looks set to go well again.
4.00 Newcastle – PERCY WILLIS (1pt win – 11/1 Bet365, 10/1 generally)
PERCY WILLIS was only fourth of the six runners when we bet him at Wolverhampton earlier this week but was staying on well when sandwiched just over a furlong out and P J McDonald had to stop riding. He stayed on again to finish less than two lengths behind the winner and is worth another chance in this 1m4f contest.
